California News:
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water again, the San Francisco Chronicle warns “COVID Cases in California are Climbing Again. “California is experiencing a renewed uptick in COVID-19 infections.”
Oh no! Quarantine yourself. Shelter-in-place. Buy a box of masks. Get the vax!
But it’s not what you think: “State health data shows that test positivity rates nearly doubled in July, from 3.94% on July 5 to 7.91% by July 26. While still categorized as low, the trajectory is concerning enough that public health officials are watching closely as fall approaches,” the Chronicle reports.
So, as families are coming home from excursions and vacations across the country, and across the world – gasp – some contracted the Covid flu.
Remember that “cases” are the number of people who tested positive for COVID-19, usually at the recommendation of their doctor.
“I think COVID is still on the way up in California,” said Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious disease expert at UCSF.
What happened to “the Covid vaccine will stop the spread?”
The Chronicle says that “nationally, emergency department visits for COVID remain relatively low but are ticking upward, especially among children under 4 — many of whom remain unvaccinated.” They are still pushing people, and children, to take the vaccine – as if the “vaccine” prevented covid, which we know it did not.
Or to quote a noteworthy medical professional on MSNBC, “Now we know that the vaccines work well enough that the virus stops with every vaccinated person,” Rachel Maddow said on her show March 29, 2021. “A vaccinated person gets exposed to the virus, the virus does not infect them, the virus cannot then use that person to go anywhere else,” she added with a shrug. “It cannot use a vaccinated person as a host to go get more people.”
Viewers and observers demanded an apology from Maddow and MSNBC.
The Chronicle reports Dr. Chin-Hong’s recommendations.
- “Chin-Hong said hospitalizations and deaths are also expected to increase for those over 75 in the coming weeks, “especially if that group has not been recently boosted or taken Paxlovid.”
- He emphasized the importance of vaccinating older adults, especially those who haven’t had a shot or a recent infection in the past year.
- For people at higher risk or living with vulnerable individuals, early diagnosis is key.
- Chin-Hong reminds them not to overlook treatment options: “Paxlovid or early antivirals are a great option.”
However, I looked at the CDC data, every state in the entire country reports “very low” Level of Respiratory Illness Activity – including California.
Yet, the San Francisco Chronicle concludes, “For now, public health officials emphasize simple precautions: stay home when sick, wash hands frequently and, when in crowded indoor spaces, consider wearing a mask — especially with school buses rolling and concert crowds gathering.”
Remember when the California Legislature fast-tracked bills to force COVID-19 vaccinations for children for school enrollment, and another allowing minor children to make their own vaccine decisions away from a parent? Neither bill was signed into law. But they tried.
Just this week, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced the beginning of a coordinated wind-down of its mRNA vaccine development – many mRNA vaccines will be terminated:
“We reviewed the science, listened to the experts, and acted. BARDA is terminating 22 mRNA vaccine development investments because the data show these vaccines fail to protect effectively against upper respiratory infections like COVID and flu. We’re shifting that funding toward safer, broader vaccine platforms that remain effective even as viruses mutate.”
Government fear-mongering causes wide-spread panic, and serves up the public as sitting ducks for autocratic controls, as we witnessed and experienced 2019 through 2023 (in California) with lockdowns, closed schools and businesses, mandators masking, and mandatory shots. Media fear-mongering apparently sells newspapers and elicits clicks, and causes the world’s worriers a lot of unnecessary anxiety.
And the Covid flu hysteria and controls have conditioned many Americans not to believe the government the next time.
We need to ask our politicians and elected officials, why people in government want to cause fear. And notably, so do people running newspapers and media.
As Bjorn Lomborg reported in 2023, “A panic-stricken lockdown orthodoxy far too soon took hold, and those whose policy proposals deviated quickly were labeled ‘COVID deniers.’”
“Governments that went the farthest were feted by public intellectuals and in newspaper opinion pages.”
We sincerely hope that this San Francisco Chronicle article was only used to fill space and elicit clicks. No one needed another “news” article telling them what to do if they contract the Covid flu.
On X, the SF Chronicle posted the article about 4 hours ago, and has only two comments, but it’s the only notion needed: “So what?” and “Who cares?”
