A Republican congressman from Florida is facing allegations that he threatened to release explicit videos of a former Miss United States and to retaliate against any man she dates. Lindsey Langton, who held the pageant title in 2024, is seeking a restraining order against Rep. Cory Mills.
Langston, who is also a GOP state committee member, filed a report with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on July 14, saying that Mills began threatening her after she broke off their relationship in February.
According to the police report, first obtained by Blaze Media, Langston told authorities that Mills warned that he would distribute nude images and sex videos and threatened any future romantic partners.
The case was forwarded to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for review. The FDLE has not yet responded to media inquiries.
No criminal charges have been filed against Mills.
Mills denies claims
Mills has represented Florida’s 7th Congressional District since 2023 and serves on the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services committees. In a statement to Politico, he said Langston’s allegations were false. He also said he had not been contacted by police.
“We have not been made aware of any report or allegations from law enforcement or the alleged complainant,” Mills said. “These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions. I have always conducted myself with integrity, both personally and in service to Florida’s 7th District.”
Langston is represented by attorney Anthony Sabatini, a county commissioner who once ran against Mills for Congress. Sabatini posted on X screenshots of messages he alleges Mills sent to Langston. Mills says Sabatini is using the legal system for political gain.
Mills said he believes Sabatini is “weaponizing the legal system to launch a political attack.”
Alleged relationship history
Langston said she began dating Mills in late 2021 and moved into his Florida rental home. Langston said Mills told her he was separated from his wife when they started dating, though he remains married.
She ended the relationship in February and moved out of his home after learning he had another partner, according to the police report.
The breakup reportedly followed an earlier incident in Washington, when Langston alleged an assault involving Mills. No charges were filed, and both parties denied that the assault occurred.
Langston claims Mills continued to contact her, eventually threatening to have her stripped of her pageant title and to leak sexual images. According to the report, she turned over messages to law enforcement that she said supported her claims.
