FBI Director Kash Patel has been formally asked to assist Texas authorities in tracking down and ARRESTING rogue Democrat lawmakers who fled the state to sabotage a critical redistricting vote.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Republican-led legislature issued arrest warrants for the rogue Democrats after they abandoned their posts and fled across state lines, some to New York and others to Illinois, to deny the House a quorum during a constitutionally mandated special session.
The lawless stunt was quickly blasted as anti-democratic sabotage of the legislative process.
Now, with time running out in the special session, federal law enforcement may be joining the effort to bring these fugitives to justice.
Even RINO Senator John Cornyn, never a fan favorite among grassroots conservatives, was compelled to act.
In a letter sent Monday to Director Patel, Cornyn urged the FBI to deploy federal resources to help track down the AWOL legislators and assist in their arrest.
“I have asked FBI Director Kash to work with Greg Abbott & Texas law enforcement to investigate potential CRIMINAL acts, including bribery, and to hold legislators accountable who have fled the state in a shameful attempt to stall the legislative process in the Texas House,” Cornyn wrote.
