Sydney Sweeney is quickly becoming a household conservative name after her bombshell American Eagle ad that set liberals on fire.
According to Fox News, her newest and most popular fan, by far, is now President Donald Trump, who, upon learning that the “Euphoria” actress is a registered Republican, “loves” her American Eagle ad.
American Eagle was praised and roasted by the right and left, respectively, for Sweeney’s ad, which depicted a beautiful American female sporting their apparel in an ad — a far cry from the “woke” advertising usually seen at the corporate apparel level these days.
The company, which saw its popularity peak in the late 90s and early 2000s, released the ad last week with the title “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans.”
What did Trump say?
The president held nothing back when speaking with reporters upon finding out that Sweeney is a registered Republican voter.
“She’s a registered Republican?” Trump told a reporter who wanted comment on his thoughts regarding her political leanings. “Oh, now I love her ad.”
“You’d be surprised at how many people are Republicans. That’s what I wouldn’t have known, but I’m glad you told me that. If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic.”

Fox News noted:
Some critics said the billboard’s play on “genes” versus “jeans” echoed eugenics-era slogans, though supporters argued it was a lighthearted marketing gimmick.
Woke liberals were quick to suggest that the ad was somehow racist or “tone deaf” to the “racial undertones.” The company insisted that it was nothing more than a clever marketing gimmick, as any reasonable, non-woke person would assume.
Social media reacts
Users across social media reacted to the situation and Trump’s response to Sweeney’s political affiliation.
“Sydney Sweeney American Eagle is the ad of the decade!” one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, “She is a Beautiful YoungLady and loved her commercial for American Jeans – and she’s even good at shooting a weapon!”
It’ll be interesting to see if other companies follow the same path as American Eagle, as Sweeney’s ad was not only great for business, but also great for its share prices, which rose significantly in the wake of Trump’s praise.
