After the Trump administration’s $50 million settlement with Brown University prohibits it from performing transgender medical interventions on minors, press secretary Karoline Leavitt said, the administration is seeking similar commitments from other universities.
“I can tell you that ending the chemical castration of children in our country is a priority of this administration,” Leavitt told The Daily Signal. “We’ve talked to many of these universities about it.”
“The president has also taken very strong action to cut off the funding for any medical institution in this country that provides those barbaric procedures,” Leavitt added.
The Brown University settlement, announced Wednesday, is “another win to root out antisemitic behavior on our nation’s college campuses and unlawful racial discrimination,” Leavitt said.
