On July 30, 2025, at 9:47 a.m., Oregon State Police performed a traffic stop on a passenger vehicle traveling south on Interstate 5 near Albany, due to several traffic violations. An OSP drug detection K-9 assisted in the investigation, leading to the discovery of a substantial drug haul, including roughly 112 pounds of methamphetamine, 5.6 pounds of cocaine, and 4.4 pounds of fentanyl.
The driver, Jesus Compos Roman, 29, from Everett, WA, along with passenger Eduar Freites Mosquera from Mill Creek, WA, were arrested on charges of possession and distribution of these narcotics and are currently held at Linn County Jail.
