The cause of death for wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has been confirmed following his passing at the age of 71.
Hogan, born Terrence Gene Bollea, died of an acute myocardial infarction—commonly known as a heart attack—on Thursday, July 24, according to the New York Post.
Medical records obtained by the Post from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center also revealed that Hogan had a history of leukemia and atrial fibrillation, a heart rhythm disorder that leads to irregular heartbeats. His leukemia diagnosis, a type of cancer affecting white blood cells, had not been publicly disclosed prior to his death.
