In a scathing letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, Grassley and Crawford demanded immediate action, writing:
“The revelations contained in the declassified OIG appendix are at the heart of why the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) became distrusted by so many under your agency’s prior directors: a failure to impartially conduct its law enforcement and intelligence mission.”
The letter further exposes the FBI’s stunning incompetence—or deliberate cover-up—under former Director James Comey, who admitted in internal memos that the unreviewed evidence was necessary for a “thorough and complete investigation.” Yet, the bureau ignored it, leaving critical intelligence unexamined while pushing politically motivated narratives to protect the Washington elite.
“How evidence which purportedly includes information related to ‘former President Barack Obama’s emails’ and ‘network infrastructure diagrams for U.S. government classified networks,’ remained unreviewed by the preeminent law enforcement agency in the world is mind-numbing,” the lawmakers wrote.
This latest scandal is yet another example of the two-tiered justice system that President Donald Trump has fought against since day one. While the FBI and liberal media obsessed over debunked Russia collusion hoaxes and raided Trump’s home over classified documents, they allowed Hillary Clinton—who illegally stored classified emails on an unsecured server—to walk free.
