United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer is preparing to unveil a plan to recognize Palestine as a state.
Starmer will give a detailed outline of what would be required for Palestine to be recognized, while also discussing UK efforts to assist in getting aid to Gaza amid starvation, The Telegraph reported.
The prime minister is expected to announce his proposals, which will likely include a ceasefire and Hamas’ release of Israeli hostages, for Palestinian state recognition.
However, a third of Labour Party members of parliament and Starmer’s Cabinet members have been pushing for the immediate recognition of Palestine.
