A National Football League employee was “seriously injured” in the shooting at the league’s headquarters in New York City, Commissioner Roger Goodell says.
“One of our employees was seriously injured in this attack,” reads Goodell’s message to NFL employees, Fox News reported. “He is currently in the hospital and in stable condition. NFL staff are at the hospital and we are supporting his family.
The message was apparently sent soon after the shooting inside the Park Avenue skyscraper that occurred at about 6:30 p.m.
“We believe that all of our employees are otherwise safe and accounted for, and the building has nearly been cleared,” the letter also reads.
