Hulk Hogan represented an over-the-top American nationalism, and nostalgia for it was a powerful element of MAGA. The Hulkster endorsed Trump in 2024 and also took down Gawker, even though it meant he was smeared as a racist. Hogan’s last appearance in the WWE was a debacle because a new “diverse” fan base hated what he stood for. Is Hulkamania just about nostalgia, and is American patriotism really any different?
