A whopping 20 protesters showed up outside CBS’s Broadcast Center on Sunday, July 27 in New York City for a few minutes to protest the cancellation of The Late Show and defend Stephen Colbert – who’s leaving in May 2026.
According to Townhall, the “We’re With Colbert Rally” was a complete bust – much like Colbert’s ratings. You’d probably get a bigger crowd offering complimentary prune juice samples at a nursing home.
JUST IN: Stephen Colbert has accused CBS of *FIRING* him because the network surrendered to Trump.
He has called on New Yorkers to join him in protesting CBS.

Ironically, about half the protesters wore face masks. Hiding their faces while supposedly standing up for free speech? Nothing says “bold resistance” like mumbling through an N95 mask.
