The district office of U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) was recently vandalized.
Breitbart News reports that the incident took place on Friday night.
Here is a statement from the congressman on the matter:

Here’s what we know:
The office that was vandalized is located in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
Kelly, in his statement, explained:
Overnight, our new Hermitage District Office was vandalized. Local law enforcement, along with U.S. Capitol Police, are investigating the incident. Our staff members are safe and were not in the office at the time of the crime. Let’s be clear: political violence and vandalism are never acceptable.
Along with this message, Kelly included a photograph of the front of the office, which shows graffiti on the windows.
Breitbart reports:
Photos shared by Kelly in his post showed the words, “GOP= racism, rape, child rape, cover-up,” “Mental illness is not a crime,” and “A** kisser liar” written in red on the door and windows of the office.
This office, according to Kelly, had just been opened last month. Previously, he had an office in Sharon, but he thought the new location would better serve the people whom he represents. No one was injured in the incident, as the office was empty at the time it occurred.
Condemning politically motivated violence
Kelly is among the lawmakers who have recently introduced legislation looking to condemn political violence.
Breitbart separately reported:
The resolution, introduced Friday by Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) and Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger (R-TX), explicitly denounces the “multiple attempts” on Trump’s life and calls on the American people to unite against violent rhetoric aimed at public officials.
The resolution was introduced on the first anniversary of the first assassination attempt on President Donald Trump. This is the one that took place in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“We must stand up together to oppose violence against our nation’s leaders and condemn the hateful, divisive rhetoric that has fueled our nation’s political dialogue in recent years,” Kelly, at the time of his resolution, said.
He added, “This weekend, as we remember the tragic events in Butler one year ago, may we also take a moment to honor our heroic first responders who selflessly run toward danger to protect our fellow Americans. May we unite around the common good of these United States. We are stronger together.”
