A Pennsylvania man was arrested last week for allegedly breaking a 3-year-old boy’s leg.
Lancaster Online reported that Michael Torres, 27, broke and displaced the toddler’s femur when striking his thigh three to four times. The victim was hospitalized on July 20, and Torres allegedly confessed to inflicting the injuries in a fit of anger.
According to the publication, Torres claimed he hit the boy on his upper right thigh with an open hand because he would not go to sleep. While speaking with police, Torres allegedly recounted saying, “I’m going to give him something to cry about.”
Torres’ relationship to the victim was not disclosed.
Torres was charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children. His bail was set at $75,000.
