Paul Gallagher, older brother to rock legends Liam and Noel Gallagher, is facing serious criminal charges in the UK following an investigation into a string of disturbing allegations.
Officials confirmed this week that the 59-year-old from East Finchley, London, has been charged with multiple offenses, including rape, sexual assault, intentional strangulation, controlling or coercive behavior, making threats to kill, and assault resulting in actual bodily harm. The alleged incidents reportedly took place between 2022 and 2024.
“We can confirm we have authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge Paul Gallagher with rape and other offences following a police investigation,” Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor Cate Baccas said in a statement released Monday, July 28.
Paul Gallagher is set to appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 27. It’s currently unknown whether he has entered a plea or secured legal representation.
Despite his famous family ties, Paul has never been part of the iconic Britpop band Oasis. His younger brothers, Liam and Noel, are currently on a highly anticipated reunion tour across North America.
A report from The Times, citing a London-based law firm, states that Paul Gallagher denies the allegations.
