WWE legend Hulk Hogan passed away at the age of 71 following a cardiac arrest.
President Trump expressed his condolences for Hogan’s family in a post on Truth Social where the President lauded Hogan’s speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention and his impact on American popular culture,
“We lost a great friend today, the “Hulkster.” Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way — Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart. He gave an absolutely electric speech at the Republican National Convention, that was one of the highlights of the entire week. He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive. To his wife, Sky, and family, we give our warmest best wishes and love. Hulk Hogan will be greatly missed!” Trump wrote.
Hogan brought down the house with an endorsement speech where he cut a trademark Hulk Hogan promo that included all his catchpgrases as well as his trademark tearing away of the Hulkamania t shirt to reveal a Trump-Vance shirt.

“What happened last week when they took a shot at my hero and they tried to kill the next president of the United States, I said, ‘Enough was enough!’” Hogan shouted.
“I said, ‘Let Trump-a-Mania run wild, brother! Let Trump-a-Mania rule again! let Trump-a-Mania make America great again!” Hogan exclaimed.
Hulk Hogan main evented the first nine WrestleMania’s, starred in Rocky III alongside Sylvester Stallone, appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated, hosted Saturday Night Live, and had his own Saturday morning cartoon show.
Hogan was one of the iconic figures in American pop culture in the 1980s.
With his massive physique, Hogan bragged about his “24-inch pythons”, and undeniable charisma, Hogan served as a real life Superman for children growing up in the 1980s.
Vice President J.D. Vance summed up Hogan’s impact on a generation of Americans writing on social media that Hogan was one of his first childhood heroes.
“Hulk Hogan was a great American icon. One of the first people I ever truly admired as a kid. The last time I saw him we promised we’d get beers together next time we saw each other The next time will have to be on the other side, my friend! Rest in peace,” Vance posted.
