
Congressional Democrats are expected to hit vulnerable conservative districts nationwide next month as part of their August recess, where they will highlight recent cuts to federal health programs and social services.
The party aims to frame President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” as harmful to the Americans whom Republicans vowed to help through the legislation.
Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren will appear on the grassroots movement MoveOn’s “Won’t Back Down Tour,” while California Rep. Ro Khanna will depart on a “Benefits Over Billionaires” tour.
Democratic Rep. Yassamin Ansari of Arizona will hold “Accountability Summer” rallies, Politico reported Thursday.
“Donald Trump ran for office promising to lower costs on day one,” Warren told the outlet. “Our secret, super-duper strategy is to get out there and tell the truth … that Donald Trump has taken a bad situation and made it worse.”
