HNewsWire: On Saturday, Donald Trump made an unabashed appeal for the “termination” of the United States Constitution in order to be reinstated to the president.
After hearing that pornographic photographs of Hunter Biden had been taken from twitter in the run-up to the 2020 election, President Trump announced that the whole election had been stolen from him and wanted to be reinstated as president.
Do you throw out the results of the 2020 presidential election and declare the rightful winner in light of the evidence of massive and widespread fraud and deception perpetrated in concert by big tech companies, the Democratic National Committee, and the Democrat Party? Or do you hold a new election? Trump published an essay on Truth Social. “Any and all laws, including the Constitution, may be nullified by a fraud of this scale. The wonderful ‘Founders’ of our country did not desire or intend to condone sham or fraudulent elections.”
Trump has made similar demands before, but this is the first time he has admitted that doing so would force the United States to destroy its own Constitution in his favor.
This is a worrisome new milestone for Trump, New York Times writer Peter Baker tweeted.
In his essay, he said, “Needless to say, can’t remember of a moment in the United States when a former president (and would-be future president) has advocated for suspending the Constitution to allow him to grab power.” Even after all the surprises of the last several years, this one stands out.
