Jim Geraghty of National Review Online critiques the former president’s clueless son.
On a YouTube podcast hosted by Andrew Callaghan, former presidential son Hunter Biden lashed out at everyone in the Democratic Party he deems insufficiently loyal to his father:
“James Carville who hasn’t run a race in 40 years, and David Axelrod who had one success in his political life and that was Barack Obama, and that was because of Barack Obama, not because of David Axelrod and David Plouffe and all of these guys and the Pod Save America guys who were junior speech writers in, you know, Barack Obama’s Senate staff who have been dining out on the relationship with him for years.”
He made similar comments on the new podcast hosted by former Democratic National Committee chairman Jaime Harrison:
“. . . Like, how arrogant do you have to be to be Pod Save America? Like, we’ve designated them as the guys who are going to save America? You know, like, four guys living in West Hollywood, making a million dollars a piece or more than that for the past four years, you know, dining out? but regardless they’ve got their finger on the pulse of the Democratic party, right from their Hollywood studio, with their homes in Bel Air.”
Keep in mind, until the wildfires, Hunter Biden was living in a $4 million rental property in Malibu. Is this some Los Angeles neighborhood rivalry? Is one guy a Rams fan and the other guys are Chargers fans, or vice versa?
I will not spend a lot of time and effort defending the Pod Save America hosts, but I would point out that they did all work for the Obama campaign and in the Obama White House. Regardless of how you feel about the work that they did, they had to be good enough to at least get hired into those jobs and keep them for long stretches.
Who hired Hunter Biden to be his father’s son? Hunter is the ultimate nepo baby, fuming at his perception of other people’s lack of qualifications and credentials.
