In the German city of Munich, an Eritrean migrant was arrested for sexually assaulting and physically attacking an 18-year-old girl, and then subsequently breaking a bottle over her male friend’s head when he tried to intervene.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning, at 2:50 a.m., in the district of Ludwigsvorstadt on Sonnenstrasse.
“Here, an unknown male person suddenly approached them and grabbed the 18-year-old on the chest. The unknown perpetrator also immediately punched her in the face,” a police source said, according to German news outlet Tag24.
When the 17-year-old intervened, the Eritrean hit him in the head with a glass bottle.
The attacker then fled towards Landwehrstrasse.
It just so happened that a police patrol was located in the area. When the 18-year-old victim approached the police, they worked quickly to find the perpetrator and arrest him.
The police identified him as a 29-year-old Eritrean with no permanent address. Both victims were injured, and the 17-year-old was treated at hospital.
The Eritrean is being charged with harassment and assault and has already appeared before a judge.
The data shows that migrants and foreigners are vastly overrepresented in violent and sexual crimes in Germany, which have reached record highs.
Women are increasingly targeted in many crimes, making it more difficult for them to walk freely at night, take public transport, and enter clubs and bars.
Data consistently shows that there is a direct correlation between the share of a city’s migrants and crime, including cities like Bremen. The city has the highest share of migrants of any German state, and also last year had the highest crime rate.
An incredible 73 percent of all crimes were committed by non-Germans in the city.
