Former President Barack Obama’s dismissal of “bizarre allegations” earned the assurance from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard that she had more to “refute that statement.”

Promised declassifications are underway in President Donald Trump’s administration that include a bombshell reveal from the DNI’s office alleging “treasonous conspiracy” by the Obama administration to “usurp” his successor’s first term. Tuesday, as the former chief executive sought to blow off what he considered a “weak attempt at distraction,” Gabbard assured more documents would be released Wednesday to prove otherwise.
Joining Newsmax host Rob Schmitt on his program, “Rob Schmitt Tonight,” the DNI recounted details about the documents released thus far and addressed the importance of accountability — no matter who was responsible — before she was presented with Obama’s spokesperson-released statement.
In response, she detailed, “We will be releasing further documents tomorrow that will refute that statement. And I would go back and point to — and we will be pulling a whole host of statements that were made by the Obama administration, by Hillary Clinton, by senior Democrat officials, by their friends in the media that state over and over again after this Jan. 2017 manufactured intelligence document was created that repeat the narrative — and I’m looking at my notes here — New York Times says Russian hackers acted to aid Trump in the election … Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan says there is strong consensus among us to support the CIA claim Russian hackers aided Donald Trump’s election.”
“Hillary Clinton said I would be president if not the Russian hackers supporting Donald Trump,” continued Gabbard, who added, “So there is a vast body of evidence and intelligence that debunks and refutes this statement you just read and others coming from some of the Democrat leaders in Congress today.”
The rebuttal to Obama followed the president’s attempt to deflect the premise that he or his administration were responsible for alleged “treasonous” actions. Through spokesman Patrick Rodenbush, he said, “Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.”
“Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes,” the statement went on. “These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio.”

During an appearance on Fox News’ “The Will Cain Show” with guest host Lara Trump, Gabbard also suggested Obama’s statement found him “trying to deflect away from what actually happened,” while President Donald Trump himself unloaded earlier from the Oval Office.
“If you look at those papers, they have him stone cold. And it was President Obama … the leader of the gang was President Obama — Barack Hussein Obama. Have you heard of him?” said the president. “Accept for the fact that he gets shielded by the press his entire life … look, he’s guilty. It’s not a question.”
“This was treason. This was every word you could think of,” Trump added before noting that Gabbard had informed him that she is in possession of “thousands” more documents while the White House took its own dig with suggestive images representing details of the story under the caption, “Congratulations, you’ve unlocked: The Deep State Russia Starter Pack.”
