Late Tuesday evening, surveillance cameras captured three individuals breaching the property of Edwin Aria, a local homeowner, and his wife, Teddi Mellencamp, known for her role on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” The footage shows the suspects scaling the gate and approaching the house just after 10 p.m.
Aria, who runs a home security business, was monitoring the situation in real-time. “They tried to enter through an office bedroom, but the alarm scared them off,” he said. The intruders fled before police arrived, leaving the family shaken but unharmed.
The attempted burglary comes on the heels of a violent incident in the same neighborhood. Just days earlier, an American Idol music supervisor and her husband were found murdered in their home.
