A video clip of a longtime Democrat admitting immigrants are needed for “redistricting purposes” has resurfaced and gone viral online.
Democratic Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY) is seen in the 2024 video of a House Foreign Affairs Committee briefing, contending that her district could use more migrants and that the local Haitian community in Brooklyn should be able to “absorb” the newcomers to ultimately help in representation.
“These are the grifters who whine about democracy, when they are overtly subverting it,” actor James Woods astutely pointed out on X, where he reacted to the video.

‘I’m from Brooklyn, New York. We have a diaspora that can absorb a significant number of these migrants,” Clarke said in the resurfaced video that sparked immediate backlash.
“When I hear my colleagues talk about, you know, the doors of the inn being closed, no room in the inn, I’m saying, you know, I need more people in my district, just for redistricting purposes, and those members could clearly fit here,” she added.
Clarke, who chairs the Congressional Black Caucus and is “the proud daughter of Jamaican immigrants,” according to her website bio, has represented New York’s 9th congressional district since 2013. However, she first joined the U.S. Congress in 2007 when she represented New York’s 11th congressional district until redistricting.
“New York City, which is heavily Democratic, has earned significant criticism in the past for moving to allow noncitizens to vote in local elections,” Fox News noted. “Earlier this year, the New York Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court, blocked such a law that had been passed by the New York City Council in 2021 and would have allowed nearly a million noncitizens to vote in elections, including for mayor and city council.”
Earlier this year, Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) played the video of Clarke during a House Homeland Security Committee hearing, contending that “her words outline [President] Biden’s failed plans for illegal immigration to gain political influence.”

The clip of Clarke’s comments ignited outrage on X, where many users noted she said the quiet part out loud and that it is time to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility — “SAVE” — Act.
They aren’t even quiet about it…

“Just for redistricting purposes.”
She’s openly saying they use migrants to win seats and won’t win them otherwise.

Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY) openly admits to wanting more migrants in her district for redistricting clout. This is blatant demographic manipulation to rig elections. Dems aren’t even hiding their playbook anymore.

The United States of America is not a stretch of territory. It is a PEOPLE who are loyal to a Constitution. It represents the IDEALS this nation was founded on: Liberty, equality, and the rule of law.
This does not apply to everyone in the world who just illegally shows up in…
