Heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne died at the age of 76 on Tuesday just weeks after he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates for a farewell concert.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis,” Osbourne’s family wrote on X.
Osbourne had battled Parkinson’s Disease since 2019. However, at this time, it is unclear what caused the music legend’s death.
His final concert, held at Villa Park near where Black Sabbath was formed in 1968, raised over £150 million for charity, according to Ealing Times.
“You’ve no idea how I feel – thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Osbourne said during the concert.
