This week saw Democrat-appointed district court judges vote to oust Alina Habba as New Jersey’s interim U.S. attorney just as her 120-day term was drawing to a close.
Although the judge’s the selected Habba’s replacement, President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice (DOJ) got the last laugh.

According to Breitbart, Attorney General Pam Bondi reacted to Habba’s removal via a statement which was posted to social media on Tuesday.
“[Acting U.S. Attorney Alina Habba] has been doing a great job in making N.J. safe again. Nonetheless, politically minded judges refused to allow her to continue in her position, replacing Alina with the First Assistant,” Bondi wrote.

“Accordingly, the First Assistant United States Attorney in New Jersey has just been removed,” the attorney general declared.
Deputy AG: “This was never about law—it was about politics”
“This Department of Justice does not tolerate rogue judges — especially when they threaten the President’s core Article II powers,” she concluded.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche spoke up in a statement of his own, writing, “The district judges in NJ just proved this was never about law—it was about politics.”
They forced out President Trump’s pick, [Habba], then installed her deputy, colluding with the NJ Senators along the way. It won’t work,” he insisted.
“Pursuant to the President’s authority, we have removed that deputy, effective immediately,” he continued before adding, “This backroom vote will not override the authority of the Chief Executive.”
Sen. Cory Booker congratulated Habba’s replacement before she was fired
Desiree Grace is the woman who was chosen to replace Habba, and Fox News reported that New Jersey Democratic Sen. Cory Booker offered congratulations to her before she was fired.
“The people of New Jersey deserve a United States Attorney who will enforce the law without fear or favor, always in pursuit of the public interest and guided by the principles of impartiality and fairness,” the senator asserted.
Fox News noted how as of Tuesday it remained unclear who the DOJ plans to replace Grace and Habba with.
