Bondi’s Deputy AG Announced He Will Meet with Epstein Madam Ghislaine Maxwell

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced Tuesday morning that the Department of Justice (DOJ) anticipates meeting with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell “in the coming days.”

Epstein was convicted of procuring for prostitution a girl below the age of 18 in 2008 and was facing sex trafficking charges until he died, according to authorities, by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019. Maxwell is currently serving 20 years in prison for her involvement in the late billionaire pedophile’s crimes.

Blanche, in a statement released on X through Bondi’s account, acknowledged President Trump, who has objected to his supporters’ fascination with the Epstein case, has ordered full transparency on the matter.

Blanche wrote:

President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence.

Further:

If Ghislane Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say.

And:

Therefore, at the direction of Attorney General Bondi, I have communicated with counsel for Ms. Maxwell to determine whether she would be willing to speak with prosecutors from the Department. I anticipate meeting with Ms. Maxwell in the coming days.

The move comes just days after Bondi took the unprecedented steps of seeking to unseal grand jury testimony against Epstein, another move seemingly at the direction of President Trump. Trump took to Truth Social to demand the release.

The court filing signed by Bondi reads:

Given this longstanding and legitimate interest, the government now moves to unseal grand jury transcripts associated with Epstein … Public officials, lawmakers, pundits, and ordinary citizens remain deeply interested and concerned about the Epstein matter.

Further:

Indeed, other jurists have released grand jury transcripts after concluding that Epstein’s case qualifies as a matter of public concern.

A “longstanding and legitimate interest” and a “matter of public concern” quickly morphed into “Silly MAGA, client lists don’t exist” when the DOJ earlier this month seemingly closed the door on any investigation into Epstein’s pedophile ring, announcing there was “no incriminating ‘client list,’” and “no credible evidence” that he blackmailed any “prominent individuals.”

Which is a long way from the days of the department’s silly binder display with right-wing X influencers.

Chatter on social media has involved discussions about whether the Justice Department should offer immunity to Maxwell if she is willing to reveal the names of her high-profile clients. They would have to offer her protection too.

Epstein’s former lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, agreed with the suggestion, having said:

[If Maxwell] were just given use immunity, she could be compelled to testify.

Further:

I’m told that she actually would be willing to testify, and there’d be no reason for her to withhold any information.

And:

So I don’t see any negative in giving her the kind of use immunity that would compel her to testify…she ought to be summoned in front of a congressional committee.

Perhaps Deputy AG Blanche’s outreach a signal that such a deal is in the works.

He concluded:

Until now, no administration on behalf of the Department had inquired about her willingness to meet with the government. That changes now.
