According to Donald Trump Jr., New York City under a Mayor Zohran Mamdani isn’t just about getting new bike lanes and government-owned grocery stores. No, it’s rock bottom stuff.
As reported by the Daily B.S. website, Donald Trump Jr. said to Fox News Digital about the possibility of Democratic socialist candidate Mamdani becoming the NYC mayor after the November 2025 election, “If what could tragically happen in November comes to pass, it’s terrifying. Yet, perhaps New York needs this harsh lesson. Maybe it must collapse to truly rebuild, to finally drive a stake through the heart of these failed ideologies that have brought ruin across the globe time and again.”
What will happen to NYC? Plenty, predicts not only the MAGA faithful but also many Democrats who don’t want to see the city implode: higher taxes, businesses leaving, higher crime and much more.
NYC has never been known for stellar mayors (with Rudy Giuliani as the rare exception), but a Mayor Mamdani could mark the start of a nationwide progressive trainwreck with his anti-police rhetoric, his anti-Israel comments, and his plethora of freebies he wants to offer to the lazy, illegal and unemployed city dwellers.
A Mamdani administration would be a case study in just how disastrously Democrat progressives run government – and the rest of the country won’t be able to look away. It definitely wouldn’t play well for the 2026 elections that offer similar progressive Democratic candidates.
It will be a live-streamed disaster that smart Republicans can use as a political boogeyman in every 2026 political race across the country. From suburban swing districts to blue strongholds teetering on the edge, voters will see what unchecked progressivism looks like in practice: chaos, collapse, and a city that’s barely recognizable. The Democrats want a revolution – Mamdani just might deliver it, one dumpster fire at a time.
