Hunter Biden said during a Monday interview that if he became president, he would threaten to “invade” El Salvador to retrieve illegal migrants President Donald Trump’s administration sent there.
The Trump administration has deported foreign national criminals and alleged gangbangers to be housed in El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT), including men convicted of rape and other heinous criminal activities. On “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan,” Biden characterized the prison as a “concentration camp” and said he would demand the return of illegal immigrants from there.

“If you think that the prison in El Salvador is not a f***ing concentration camp, you’re out of your f***ing mind,” Biden said. “Tell me anybody that’s returning from there. You saw those pictures. Do you think anybody’s getting out of there? You know, is it a rehabilitation center?”
“How are we getting those people back from f***ing El Salvador? Because I’ll tell you what, if I became president in two years from now — or four years from now, or three years from now — I would pick up the phone and call the f***ing president of El Salvador and say, ‘You either f***ing send them back or I’m going to f***ing invade.’ It’s a f***ing crime what they’re doing,” he added. “He’s a f***ing dictator thug.”
Host Andrew Callaghan asked whether Biden was referring to Trump or El Salvador President Nayib Bukele. Biden responded, “Both.”
Trump in March invoked the Alien Enemies Act to quickly detain and deport illegal immigrant gang members across the U.S after accepting Bukele’s February offer to use CECOT to house them for a nominal fee.
However, the Supreme Court in May maintained a block barring the Trump administration from deporting alleged Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act.
Trump wrote on Truth Social shortly after the ruling that “THE SUPREME COURT WON’T ALLOW US TO GET CRIMINALS OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!”
