Watchman’s Update 12/6/24
In a foreboding indication of challenges ahead for Assad’s forces, Syria’s most formidable ally has commanded all of its civilian nationals to evacuate the nation as the al-Qaeda affiliated group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham advances with a startling offensive, moving southward from the seized Aleppo region towards Hama and Homs, penetrating deep into the core of the land.
“On Friday, a call was made for citizens to depart from Syria, as insurgent factions within the nation launch a swift and formidable campaign against the regime of Bashar al-Assad, a close ally of Moscow,” AFP confirms.
The Russian embassy in Damascus has issued a warning to its citizens, urging them to evacuate the country via available commercial flights, highlighting the challenging military and political circumstances currently unfolding in Syria.
A soldier from Russia deployed in Syria, as reported by AFP.
On Thursday, China proclaimed a warning for all its citizens to leave the nation without delay. The Chinese Embassy in Damascus has urged its citizens to leave “without delay” as the Syrian Army is observed retreating from Hama and Homs.
“Currently, the conflict in northwestern Syria is escalating, and the overall security landscape in the region is increasingly troubling,” stated the embassy in Beijing.
“The representation in Syria advises that Chinese nationals in the region seize the opportunity presented by the ongoing commercial flights to make their way back home or exit the country at the earliest possible moment,” it cautioned.
Though the presence of citizens from one nation in another may be limited, the enduring connections of another nation with that land are profound and significant. In the ancient city of Damascus, there stands a significant apartment building that has long been a residence for Russian engineers and their families, a testament to decades of history.
The military presence of Russia in Syria is anticipated to remain steadfast, however. Since the year of revelation in 2015, its legions have mobilized to uphold the regime of Assad. Russian warplanes have been soaring in tandem with Syrian jets, delivering relentless strikes upon the positions of insurgents.
HTS has been identified as a terrorist organization by the United States and stands on the brink of seizing Homs:
Yet, the progress remains largely unimpeded, as the Syrian Army has not mounted significant opposition on the ground thus far. It appears that there is a prevailing belief that the forces of Damascus are strategically repositioning their military resources towards the vicinity of the capital and the coastal regions, aiming to safeguard these densely populated areas.
Yet, the unfolding events have stirred a profound sense of concern in Russia and China, particularly as one of the nation’s primary gateways for global travel, Aleppo International Airport, has fallen under the control of the jihadists.
Border crossings into Lebanon have simultaneously faced bombardment from Israel. “On Friday morning, Israel struck a border crossing between Lebanon and Syria shortly after it had reopened, marking yet another breach of the delicate ceasefire agreement established just last week,” a regional source reports.
“Airstrikes struck the Arida border crossing, the northernmost coastal point of Lebanon in the Akkar district, severing its connection to neighboring Syria, as confirmed by the state-run National News Agency,” the report states. Militias connected to a certain nation have been crossing the border to assist in a neighboring land, and there are indications of more officers from that nation being dispatched. However, the situation regarding whether another nation will increase its military presence in the ongoing strife remains uncertain.
Update 3/11/24: The Coming War of Gog and Magog
The passage in Ezekiel 38 through 39 details an imminent invasion of Israel by a significant coalition of neighboring nations. Considering the current news and conflicts in the Middle East, it’s fascinating to think about how ancient prophecies might be coming to pass. In Ezekiel 36–37, a prophecy discusses the gathering of the Jewish people to the nation of Israel, which will be followed by a major invasion.
For almost 2000 years, the Jewish people were scattered around the world, and it was only on May 14, 1948, that Israel was established as a nation. With the nation of Israel now established, the stage appears to be prepared for a significant conflict that will mark the beginning of a period of turmoil and the emergence of a powerful figure—a conflict that will culminate in the defeat of Israel’s adversaries by a divine force, paving the way for a peace agreement with the prominent figure.
When reading Ezekiel 38 and 39, it’s not just the establishment of the nation of Israel that suggests this prophecy could be fulfilled soon. The nations that are anticipated to unite against Israel seem more poised than ever to form a coalition. Understanding the prophecies of Ezekiel about the imminent invasion requires pinpointing the main figures participating.
There are different theories about the potential participants in the upcoming invasion of Israel. Before diving into a list of the specific nations, an overview of common theories is necessary when examining the prophecies from Ezekiel 38.
Exploring Ezekiel 38:1-6 A sacred message was revealed to me. I was told to confront Gog, the ruler of Magog, the leader of Meshech, and Tubal. I was to speak out against him, conveying the message that a higher power is against him. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and bring you out with your whole army—your horsemen fully armed and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. Multiple nations will unite with shields, helmets, and troops. They will gather from various areas to stand in solidarity.
1. As per a theory, nations from a certain region will unite to oppose another country, potentially led by specific countries. The opponent from the northern regions involves Syria, Turkey, and Iraq. These lands were once inhabited by specific ancient civilizations.
2. According to the theory, Gog and Magog refer to the Arab nations in an alliance with the Muslim republics of the former Soviet Union. This theory disregards most of Russia and concentrates only on the southern region.
3. According to a theory, Gog and Magog are thought to be the sons of Japeth, which would make them the ancestors of the European races. Gog and Magog thus symbolize all of Europe. This theory is not widely embraced, and there is scant evidence to back it up.
4. A theory suggests that specific Hebrew words in verse 3 are connected to locations in Russia, proposing that Gog and Magog symbolize this nation. This viewpoint is commonly embraced and is based on a distinct interpretation of the Hebrew word Rosh (used as a noun rather than an adjective), similarities in word pronunciation, and the Greek translation of Rosh referencing a particular tribe in modern-day Russia.
5. Indo-European Theory: Gog and Magog are believed to be made up of the nations descending from Japheth, which include Russia, the Caucasus (Turkey), Iraq, and the Islamic republics of Central Asia. The coalition is a partnership of various nations in the region, including Arab nations, Muslim republics, Georgia, southern Russia, and the Black Sea area.
If you look into the prophesies of Ezekiel 38, you will come across a few theories like these. Combinations of these interpretations are also possible; in fact, I tend to find stronger support for a combination of the Indo-European and Caucacus Theories.
It’s critical to realize that the battle prophesied in Ezekiel 38 is not the same as the conflict that will break out at the end of the tribulation when Jesus returns to vanquish the Antichrist and establish his millennial rule, before delving more into the participants in this invasion. How are we aware of this? Armageddon, the war that marks the end of the tribulation, is a global conflict. All nations will be involved in this conflict, according to Revelation. Certain nations that invade Israel are part of the war that Ezekiel describes. Furthermore, the fight mentioned in Ezekiel occurs much earlier than Armageddon, which is the pinnacle of the tribulation.
Ten names are listed in Ezekiel 38:1–7 for those taking part in the invasion of Israel after the Jews return to their ancestral homeland. Magog’s country is the first to be mentioned. Magog’s most prevalent identification is found in Central Asia. According to the Jewish writer Josephus, Magog established the Magogians, who the Greeks referred to as Scythians. The Scythians were a group of nomads who lived in the ancient region spanning from Central Asia to southern Russia.” The former Soviet republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and potentially the northern regions of Afghanistan currently occupy this region. Islam is the one element that unites all of these countries that comprise the land of Magog.
Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, when practicing Islam in secret was no longer necessary, militant Islam has grown in popularity in these nations. The Islamic Renaissance Party, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, and Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islam are among the radical Islamic organizations striving for the unification of central Asian countries and eventually the Muslim world. A leader will emerge from this region of the world to form a powerful coalition of nations and invade Israel.
The most disputed verse is likely Ezekiel 38:3. Regarding the identification of the nations God is alluding to in this phrase, there are two primary schools of thought. I’ll enumerate both below, and the reader may determine which makes the most sense.
Rosh as the Russian Federation
The Hebrew word “rosh” in verse 3 is translated as a noun in some translations of the Bible, designating a location in Russia. The fact that Meshech sounds like Moscow and Rosh sounds like the present name Russia provides the least convincing evidence in favor of this theory. As a proper name, they treat rosh in this translation. Rosh is translated as the proper name in the Greek version. Some people believe that this passage alludes to Russia as the ruler of Rosh because the ancient Sarmations were known as the Ras, Rashu, and Rus and lived in Rasapu, which is now southern Russia. Verses 6 and 15, which predict that the invasion will originate from far-flung regions of the north—Russia being particularly remote—also lend credence to this theory.
Rosh in charge
‘Rosh’ is translated as an adjective in other Bible translations. The claim made here is that the words “chief prince” in the medieval text had the accents Tiphha and Zaqeph-gadol. The Zaqeph-gadol appears above the sin of the Hebrew word “nish,” and the Tiphha appears underneath the resh of the Hebrew word “rosh.” The Tiphha on the right, which comes before the world’s first consonant, “rosh,” meaning chief, is prepositive and does not indicate the tone syllable. The accent Zaqeph-gadol, which is disjunctive and denotes a stop, is used with the word “nish,” or prince. Verse three would therefore say:
“Behold, I am against you, Gog, the prince, {pause} chief of Meshech and Tubal.”
As opposed to:
“Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.”
‘Rosh’ is translated as head or chief here, as it is 423 other times in the Old Testament.
To put it briefly, you might find it more logical to interpret Russia’s involvement in this coalition if you think that “rosh” should be rendered as a proper noun. You just need to worry about Meshech and Tubal’s identities if you think the word “rosh” belongs in this context as an adjective. To each his own, but I tend to disagree with the “it sounds like Russia” notion and think it makes more sense to translate rosh as an adjective.
The names of Japheth, the son of Noah, in verses two and six were Meshech and Tubal (Genesis 10:2). Additionally, Meshech and Tubal are mentioned in Ezekiel 27:13 as Tyre’s (modern-day Lebanon) trading partners. Meshech and Tubal most likely relate to the ancient Moshi/Mushki and Tubalu/Tibareni who lived in the region in Ezekiel’s day, mainly south of the Black and Caspian Seas. These countries would be found in what is now Turkey, as well as in some areas of northern Iran and southern Russia. every region where Muslims predominate.
Verse 6 introduces Gomer and Beth-Togarmah to the coalition. The first son of Japheth was “Gomer.” The Gomerites were the ancient Cimmerians, expelled in 700 B.C. from the southern steppes of Russia into what is today Turkey. “Togarmah” is the third son of Gomer, and the prefix “Beth” in the name signifies ‘house’ or ‘place of’ in Hebrew. During Ezekiel’s era, there existed a city in Cappadocia (modern Turkey) with various names like Tegarma, Tagarma, Til-Garimmu, and Takarama.
It is quite compelling that four of the names mentioned in Ezekiel are currently located in Turkey, suggesting a strong case for Turkey’s involvement in the invasion of Israel. The current situation in that nation also supports this perspective. Since the breakup of the Soviet Union, Turkey has been expanding its influence in Central Asia (Magog). It is also connected to Central Asia, both ethnically and linguistically, and has a growing number of political parties that advocate for opposition to Israel, the establishment of a Turkish Islamic Republic, and the global rule of Islam.
Verse 5 introduces three additional names to consider. According to divine guidance, “Persia, Cush, and Put will be with them.”
Identifying Persia is quite straightforward. In 539 B.C., the Persians overtook the city of Babylon. Just by examining a map of the ancient Persian Empire, it’s clear that its heartland was in the modern-day country of Iran. Actually, Iran was known as Persia until 1935, when the name was changed to Iran, and later to the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, following the Iranian Revolution. It is widely known that Iran is a strong adversary of Israel and Western countries, while also backing the Palestinians. They are actively working to persuade other Arab countries to switch sides in their collaboration with the U.S. and Israel.
In Ezekiel’s era, the kingdom of Cush was situated to the south of Egypt along the Nile River. Currently, Sudan occupies this territory. Sudan is governed by the National Islamic Front, under an Islamic military dictatorship, has strong ties with Iraq, provided refuge to Osama bin Laden from 1991–1996, and shelters numerous Islamic terrorist organizations. Sudan could seamlessly join the coalition due to its existing strong relationship with Iran, involving trade of military supplies in exchange for docking rights on the Red Sea shipping routes.
In ancient times, Put was the region located to the west of Egypt, which corresponds to present-day Libya. Libya is known for sponsoring terrorism and adamantly denies Israel’s right to exist. When a coalition forms against Israel, Libya will eagerly join without hesitation.
Verse 6 includes the phrase “and many people with you.” The nations mentioned are all located quite far from Israel. By including “and many people with you,” it is possible that God was suggesting that neighboring nations and peoples would also participate in the conflict. Other countries that could potentially join the alliance include Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. All of these countries are Islamic nations and would readily support the destruction of Israel if given the chance to be part of a large coalition.
Here is a list of the nations mentioned in Ezekiel as adversaries of Israel in the end times:
ANCIENT NAME | MODERN NATION | EXPLANATION |
Rosh | Russia or Chief | Ancient Sarmatians known as Rashu, Rasapu, Ros, and Rus.
OR Translated as the adjective Chief. |
Magog | Central Asia | Ancient Scythians – Islamic southern republics of the former Soviet Union with a population of 60 million Muslims. This territory could include modern Afghanistan. |
Meshech | Turkey | Ancient Muschki and Musku in Cilicia and Cappadocia. |
Tubal | Turkey (also southern Russia and Iran) | Ancient Tubalu in Cappadocia. |
Persia | Iran | Name changed from Persia to Iran in 1935. |
Ethiopia (Cush) | Sudan | Ancient Cush, south of Egypt. |
Put | Libya | Ancient Put, west of Egypt. |
Gomer | Turkey | Ancient Cimmerians – from the seventh century to first century B.C. in central/western Anatolia. |
Beth-togarmah | Turkey | Til-garimmu – between ancient Carchemish and Haran (southern Turkey). |
Many peoples with you | Other Islamic nations | Possibly Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt |
The reasons God gives us for the enemies’ invasion of Israel are further proof that the attack will be an Islamic invasion.
In Ezekiel 38, God initially cites the coalition’s goal to completely eradicate the Jewish people from the face of the planet in order to cover the Jewish territory. They will attempt to eliminate the Jewish people and the state of Israel, driven by a hate for them. Nearly all Islamic countries in the Middle East currently declare this as their official objective. Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan are the only countries that have not yet declared war on Israel, but they would all be happy to see Israel destroyed if given the chance to remove Islam’s greatest adversary from the Middle East and a willing leader.
They also come, according to God, to “seize plunder and capture great spoil.” The Quran has numerous verses that support plundering for the advancement of Islam, and Muhammad’s life is replete with examples of this kind of warfare. It is, in fact, a recurring theme in his lectures.
It is true that there will be a Jihad against the Jewish people and Israel, but this Jihad is the last one.
Ezekiel 38:13 “Have you come to grab spoil? Sheba, Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish with all its towns will ask you. Have you gathered your group with the intention of robbing people, stealing commodities and livestock, carrying away gold and silver, and taking enormous spoils?”
A few nations will offer a token protest as this invasion progresses. This is not hard to accept when you consider how little worry most nations display while terrorists strike Israel on a regular basis.
Gog’s acts are questioned by several nations, namely “Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish.” Dedan and Sheba are easy to recognize. These were the prehistoric names for the region that is now Saudi Arabia.
Most people agree that Tarshish is either the region of modern-day Spain in Western Europe or ancient Tartessus. Tarshish was located in the most remote western parts of the known world during Ezekiel’s time. Ezekiel might have been suggesting that Western Europe would support Saudi Arabia in opposing the invasion by alluding to Tarshish and all her traders. It’s interesting to note that, when it comes to combating extreme Islamic groups worldwide, Saudi Arabia is the only Arab country that regularly supports the West. Saudi Arabia’s royals defend the West mostly for reasons of self-preservation, but they occasionally work against us in the background. Nevertheless, they would almost certainly stage a resistance against extreme Islam in order to continue receiving backing from western governments.
An analogous coalition was previously observed in the early 1990s Gulf War. While most Middle Eastern countries either stood with Iraq or against the U.S., either by explicitly opposing it or by remaining neutral, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and Western Europe formed an alliance against Iraq.
God triumphs, which is excellent news. God himself will oppose and destroy the invaders. According to verses 19–20, there will be an earthquake so big that people will quake everywhere in the world. Nations will turn against one another in the ensuing anarchy. There will be the highest ever number of deaths from friendly fire as a result of the confusion.
Ezekiel 22 predicts that there would be hailstones, flaming sulfur, plagues, and torrential rain. God will demolish these invading troops, just as he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. God will reveal Himself as the Lord to all nations once more. He is the Holy One in Israel, and He will prove it to the nations.
The Antichrist’s demand that everyone worship him as God and his military takeover of the world will be made possible by this war against Israel. There will be far less hostility to worshiping a man as God after Islam is vanquished and the Christian Church is exalted. The remaining people wouldn’t have an army to launch a significant demonstration.
What therefore ought to be the Christian response to this prophecy? God declares in Ezekiel 39:6, 7, and 28 that this conflict of the end times will take place and that “they will know that I am the Lord.” In Ezekiel, God makes it clear more than sixty times that His goal is for Israel and the other countries to recognize Him as Lord. Through understanding prophecy and imparting it to others, individuals will be able to recognize God’s majesty, sovereignty, and glory in the accomplishment of His word. They can realize that there is a supernatural creator and that there is a plan for them if they are knowledgeable about our Bible and educate others about it.
They cannot comprehend the victory and the magnificent eternity that is ours through Jesus Christ and the free salvation he offers us.

Mr. Trump did not win re-election which gave the American people four years with Satan Soldiers (Biden). The world will endured about five years of the seven years tribulation event. The remaining two years will be like no other known to mankind, know where you stand with the creator. HELL ON EARTH
God has sent them ( The Un-godly ) a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). Simply put, God sends a strong delusion to those who chose not to believe the gospel of Christ. Those who take delight in mocking and rejecting Him, He will condemn.
Force is now the only rule remaining in deep state-controlled America. Everything else has collapsed There is no free speech, no fair trial, no system of justice, no reasonable expectation of human rights anywhere, no fair elections, no honest news, no honest Wall Street operations, no real public education, no clean food, and threats from the elitist, the power structure that is hell-bent on bringing the New World order into the reality of the sleeping masses, get woke or get yoked, the choice still lives in the people’s hands, only God can save us from the great tribulations. Next, the AntiChrist will appear with many empty promises, peace, and security, in reality, it’s the yoking of mankind, We have entered the Great Tribulations…

During the future tribulation period, the world will be ruled by a godless man presiding over an evil governmental system. The Bible associates this end-times ruler with a terrible beast in Revelation and in Daniel.
As of November 15, 2019, the rule of law no longer exists in the United States of America.
This has become abundantly apparent with the rigged jury decision to incarcerate Roger Stone for the “process crime” of misstating memories during interrogations with federal agents. In an era where Hillary Clinton is openly allowed by the director of the FBI (treasonous criminal James Comey) to destroy evidence, obstruct justice and get away with high-level crimes because “she didn’t mean to” violate the law, Roger Stone is about to be sentenced to what will essentially be life in prison (he’s 67 years old).
In an era when former president Barack Obama illegally laundered billions of dollars through international banks in order to fly actual pallets of cash to Iran to fund their nuclear weapons program, Julian Assange rots in custody, denied his freedom, his health and his sanity for over a decade, all as punishment for daring to expose the dark secrets of the military-industrial complex.
The jury against Roger Stone was rigged with over 90% of the people in the jury pool found to be supporters of Hillary Clinton. The malicious fake news media smeared Stone for years, installing intense hatred in the minds of the jurists and cementing the outcome of the “trial,” if it can even be called that.

There is a growing pattern of wickedness and lawlessness dominating our society today that throughout history was found in civilizations in the process of decline. It is a pattern evident in nations that rejected God’s Word as the ultimate authority in their lives and is a pattern prevailing in many Americans today.
The national corporate-owned fake news media sanitizes its coverage of the vile acts occurring in our society and only reports on a very few of them. Vast numbers of senseless acts of violence go unreported because their reality would be too graphic for a national audience.
