Authorities revealed that the victims, two women and a girl aged about 9 or 10, were known to the suspect. Though no arrests have been made, police have identified the individual they are pursuing.
The Renton Police Department received reports of the shooting near Meadowcrest Playground. Upon arrival, they discovered the victims and noted the presence of two additional witnesses who managed to escape unharmed and are currently cooperating with investigators.
Preliminary findings suggest that the shooting may have stemmed from a domestic dispute. Due to the complexity of the crime scene, the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab has been called in to assist with the investigation.
Witnesses reported seeing someone flee toward nearby businesses, prompting police to deploy a K-9 unit in an attempt to track the suspect. Despite these efforts, the suspect remains at large.
Officers are in the process of obtaining a search warrant to examine the crime scene more thoroughly. Earlier, a vehicle believed to belong to the suspect was towed away for further inspection.
The community remains on edge as police work tirelessly to apprehend the suspect and bring clarity to this devastating event. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
