Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” being canceled was one of the best things to happen to late-night television and for the Republicans he’s attacked over the years, including President Donald Trump.
According to Breitbart, the president recently commented on Colbert’s firing, which the network claims was strictly due to financial reasons, as the show has reportedly been a revenue loser for years.
Colbert’s show will reportedly not be renewed, which sparked joy on the right, as Colbert had gone from a halfway decent comedian to a radical liberal comedian activist. It’s no wonder his show lost the network money.
Trump held nothing back in a Truth Social post regarding Colbert’s firing, noting that ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel could soon experience a similar fate.
What did he say?
Trump, in his usual fashion, held nothing back in a Truth Social post commenting on Colbert’s firing, saying he “absolutely loves” that he was canned by the network.
“I absolutely love that Colbert’ got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!” Trump wrote.
The president went on to praise Fox News comedian and host Greg Gutfeld.
“Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show,” the president said, making a presumable reference to Jimmy Fallon.

CBS, in a clear attempt to do damage control for the left, released a lengthy statement explaining that the show’s cancellation was strictly a financial decision.
Social media reacts
Users across social media reacted to the president’s remarks on Colbert’s cancelation.
“It only shows these kind of shows are political propaganda based,” one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, “Gutfeld’s so sharp, he could roast the whole woke squad and still have time to fix Fallon’s hair with a buzzsaw!”
Only time will tell which radical leftist comedian is next on the television chopping block.
