Now that Democrats finally have a winning issue in their sights, they’re not willing to give it up.
On Thursday, President Donald Trump said that he was instructing Attorney General Pam Bondi to release any relevant grand jury testimony relating to the Jeffrey Epstein case. This order comes as a large number of his supporters have questioned the official conclusion of the DOJ/FBI investigation into Epstein’s death and client list.
In a Truth Social post, Trump announced that he made the decision “based on the ridiculous amount of publicity” surrounding the issue.

“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval. This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!” he wrote in his post, which was shared to X by Bondi’s official account.
The post was quickly shared by Rep. Daniel Goldman, D-New York, who poured cold water on the announcement.
Nice try @AGPamBondi.
What about videos, photographs and other recordings?
What about FBI 302’s (witness interviews)?
What about texts and emails?
That’s where the evidence about Trump and others will be.
Grand jury testimony will only relate to Epstein and Maxwell. https://t.co/CaeTjkhHkA

Seeing the popularity surrounding the Epstein case, and most notably seeing that pro-Trump voices are breaking away from the president to speak out about the issue, Democrats have jumped at the chance to finally be on the popular side of an issue for once.
In fact, their newfound concern is so obvious that even MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough had to ask why it never came up sooner.
As BizPac Review previously reported, Scarborough questioned Democrat Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin on why his party didn’t call for the Epstein file release when Democrats were in power.
“But congressman, you could’ve gotten that from [2021] to [2025] when Democrats controlled the DOJ. It was a crisis then, it’s a crisis now. Why didn’t Democrats call for it from ’21 to ’25?” Scarborough asked.
“You have to go back and look specifically at particular prosecutorial decisions and what was taking place in terms of the other cases,” Raskin answered. “So, I don’t know. We could try to reconstruct that record, but the point is that Donald Trump is the one who has led the crusade to say that Epstein, who was his very close friend and there’s all kinds of pictures of them and so on, that Epstein was at the center of this broad conspiracy. He’s now in a position to do exactly what he demanded, which is to release all of the files. And so, why is that not happening? That’s the question. I can’t answer for Merrick Garland or anybody else in the Department of Justice.”
