MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA — U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) is being praised by conservatives across the country for speaking out against the ideological threats facing America’s heartland. During a recent interview with conservative media host Benny Johnson, the senator delivered a blunt warning to left-wing and Islamic supremacist transplants fleeing states like New York and California: Leave your failed ideologies behind.
When asked what his message would be to Democrats considering a move to Alabama, Tuberville responded:
“Don’t be expecting a free lunch. I promise you, bring your lunch with you, because you’re not gonna be welcome if you’re going to bring that communist, Islamic atmosphere with you. We’re not going to deal with it.
I’m telling you right now, it’s not going to happen in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee. It’s not going to happen. But they’re going to try to make it happen. They’re going to try to overwhelm us.”
Tuberville then turned his attention to the Biden administration’s mass resettlement of Afghan nationals following the 2021 withdrawal from Kabul, citing personal observations during a visit to Brussels:
“Biden brought in 200,000 people from Afghanistan. They said they were interpreters and stuff. I saw a bunch of these people. They were flown to Brussels. I asked the commander in Brussels, ‘Who are these people?’ He said, ‘We don’t know. But we’re going to identify them, put their names down, and send them to the United States of America and make citizens out of them.’
That’s what your past government did here under the Joe Biden administration. And of course, Obama did the same thing. So we have gotta fight back, and we can’t wait until it’s past due.”
Tuberville’s comments quickly drew praise from Americans concerned about unchecked mass migration, creeping Islamization, and the erosion of American values in red states. But the senator’s remarks also triggered a swift and public response from a terror-tied source: the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)
.
CAIR Responds: Demands Mosque Visit Following “Anti-Islam” Comments
Within 24 hours of Tuberville’s interview airing, the Alabama chapter of CAIR issued a formal public statement condemning the senator’s remarks and extending an invitation for him to visit a mosque.
CAIR-Alabama’s staff attorney Audra Britton O’Shields stated:
“Senator Tuberville was elected to represent all Alabamans, including Alabama Muslims. We invite Senator Tuberville to visit an Alabama mosque and engage with his Muslim constituents. Although Senator Tuberville expressed fear about a so-called ‘Islamic atmosphere’ coming to Alabama, the truth is that American Muslims have been thriving in Alabama for decades, creating an atmosphere of fellowship, charity, and devotion to God.”

CAIR used the opportunity to amplify its 2025 annual “civil rights” report, titled Unconstitutional Crackdowns, which alleges that Islamophobia is at an all-time high across the country. The propaganda report claims that American Muslims face discrimination for “speaking out against genocide and apartheid” — a phrase CAIR routinely uses in defense of Hamas-aligned narratives in the U.S.
Who Is CAIR? A Closer Look at the Organization Pressuring Tuberville
While CAIR presents itself as the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights organization, the group has a long-documented history of connections to foreign terrorist organizations, most notably Hamas.
In 2008, CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terror-financing prosecution in U.S. history. Federal prosecutors demonstrated that the Holy Land Foundation was part of a U.S.-based Muslim Brotherhood network established to raise money and political support for Hamas. CAIR was founded as a public relations and political lobbying arm of that same network.
FBI wiretaps from a 1993 meeting in Philadelphia, known internally as the “Philly Meeting,” recorded CAIR’s co-founders, Nihad Awad and Omar Ahmad, strategizing ways to advance Hamas’s cause in America without detection. According to federal court documents, their objective was to disguise their work under the language of civil rights, while engaging in “political influence operations” designed to shift U.S. policy and public opinion in Hamas’s favor.
In an official court filing, the Department of Justice concluded:
“From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, CAIR has been a part of a network that was created to promote Hamas’s agenda inside the United States.”
Despite this overwhelming evidence — which remains on the public record — CAIR has never been formally designated as a foreign agent or terror-affiliated entity. Instead, the organization continues to operate with full 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, hosts annual lobbying days on Capitol Hill, and partners with public school districts, law enforcement agencies, and media outlets across the country.

The Real Question: Why Is CAIR Still Operating Unchecked?
Despite being exposed in open federal court as part of a coordinated Hamas-linked influence network…
Despite FBI evidence of CAIR’s founders plotting to support terrorism on American soil…
Despite formal DOJ confirmation that CAIR is embedded within the Muslim Brotherhood’s U.S. operations…
The organization continues to operate tax-free, unregulated, and politically protected.
This reality has not gone unnoticed by Tuberville supporters and national security watchdogs. Many are now directing their questions not at the senator, but at the former and current administrations.
As of today, it has been 179 days since the start of President Trump’s second term.
Combined with his first term, Trump has had 1,640 days in office. Still, CAIR remains active, unbanned, and undesignated.
Why?
Why is a group with documented ties to Hamas still treated as a legitimate civil rights organization? Why does the IRS continue to grant it tax-exempt status?
Why has no administration — Republican or Democrat — taken decisive action?
Conclusion: Tuberville Isn’t the Problem. CAIR Is.
Senator Tommy Tuberville has sparked national debate not because he was wrong, but because he was right. He named the ideological threats most politicians are too afraid to confront and stood his ground in the face of the predictable backlash.
His remarks serve as a wake-up call to Americans who still believe in national sovereignty, cultural integrity, and the rule of law.
At the center of the controversy is not an out-of-touch senator, but a well-documented, foreign-influenced political operation that continues to manipulate our institutions under the guise of “civil rights.”
It’s long past time to act: Ban CAIR. Defund CAIR. Designate it.
Because the truth is no longer controversial — it’s essential for America’s survival.
