President Donald Trump is firing back—not at Democrats or the media this time, but at members of his own base who are pushing for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
In a fiery Truth Social post, Trump dismissed the renewed demands for transparency as part of what he called the “Jeffrey Epstein Hoax”—and labeled those calling for answers as his “PAST supporters.”
“The Radical Left Democrats have hit pay dirt, again!” Trump wrote. “Just like with the FAKE and fully discredited Steele Dossier, the lying 51 ‘Intelligence’ Agents, the Laptop from Hell, which the Dems swore had come from Russia (No, it came from Hunter Biden’s bathroom!), and even the Russia, Russia, Russia Scam itself, a totally fake and made up story used in order to hide Crooked Hillary Clinton’s big loss in the 2016 Presidential Election, these Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at — It’s all they have.”
Trump expressed frustration not only with Democrats and the media but also with conservatives who, in his view, have aligned with the left in demanding Epstein-related records.
“My PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullsh*t,’ hook, line, and sinker,” he added. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will.”
Social media reactions were mixed.
“Trump campaigned on releasing the Epstein files. Republicans campaigned on releasing the Epstein files. And now, without any investigation, the whole thing is made up? And if I don’t believe him, I’m a weak ex-MAGA?” one X user wrote.
Another criticized, “Attacking his supporters is not a good look.”
Social media strategist Chuck Callesto also weighed in.
“Pam Bondi released fake binders and told Fox the list was on her desk,” he wrote. “Trump’s administration brought this on themselves.”
Yet other supporters defended Trump’s stance.
“There is no one ‘ripping his administration apart.’ In fact, I don’t even think this is hurting MAGA at all,” one user commented. “MAGA has simply put their foot down and is demanding transparency. If anything, this is going to garner more attention to the 2026 Midterms and turn out the vote even more for conservative and Republican candidates. Why? Because an informed and annoyed people vote.”
Although Trump criticized those pushing for the Epstein files, he had previously expressed support for releasing related documents.
His 2024 presidential campaign also pledged to make them public if he is re-elected.
Adding to the controversy, Attorney General Pam Bondi, a key figure in Trump’s inner circle, stated earlier this year in a Fox News interview that the Epstein list was “on her desk.”
She also handed out binders containing Epstein-related materials to conservative influencers during a visit to the White House—a move widely interpreted as a sign of commitment to full disclosure.
Prominent conservatives outside the administration have also called for full transparency.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, podcast host Joe Rogan and conservative commentator Tucker Carlson are among those publicly urging the release of all Epstein documents, citing public interest and justice concerns.
Trump concluded his post by warning those who continue to push the Epstein narrative are doing the Democrats’ work.
“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work,” he continued. “Don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!
He ended with his signature rallying cry: “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
