At least two people are dead and dozens rescued after flash floods overwhelmed parts of New Jersey and New York. Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency as 6 inches of rain fell in just 2.5 hours, swamping roads, homes, and subways. Businesses in Roselle Park were left underwater, and rescues took place from submerged vehicles in Plainfield and Westchester. Flash flood warnings extended across Staten Island and parts of Pennsylvania, including Allentown and Bethlehem.
