A major operation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has resulted in dozens of illegal alien child predators being removed from the streets in Minnesota.
ICE arrested multiple illegal aliens convicted of sex crimes during a targeted operation in Minneapolis.
The results of the operation were confirmed in a press release issued by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The targeted enforcement action was conducted from June 6 to June 11, 2025.
It led to the apprehension of multiple illegal aliens previously convicted of egregious sexual offenses, many against children, while unlawfully residing in the United States.
Most of those arrested were Laotian and Thai nationals, several of whom were walking free in Minneapolis despite convictions for assaulting minors.
Among those arrested:
Pao Angelo Vang, a Laotian national convicted of 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child
Thong Lao, also Laotian, convicted of 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child
Va Vang, a Laotian illegal alien convicted of 1st-degree sexual assault
Xiong Pao Vang, convicted of lewd acts with a child under 14
Yia Xiong, convicted of 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct
Pok Vue, convicted of 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct
Additional Laotian nationals with convictions ranging from 1st to 3rd-degree sexual crimes
Tou Pao Lee, a Thai national convicted of soliciting a minor
Yee Shae, also Thai, convicted of sexually abusing a minor
ICE conducted the operation as part of a broader Trump administration initiative to remove dangerous criminal aliens from American communities, especially in “sanctuary” jurisdictions like Minneapolis.
In a direct rebuke to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the DHS stated:
