But don’t be fooled. This wasn’t a change of heart—it was a calculated political stunt.
In this video, I break down how Newsom is using slick soundbites and manipulated optics to rebrand himself ahead of a 2028 presidential run. From calling for a 28th Amendment to restrict gun rights nationwide, to doubling taxes on firearms and ammunition, to signing legislation that encourages lawsuits against gun manufacturers—Newsom has spent his entire career attacking the Second Amendment.
So no, holding a gun for 30 seconds doesn’t make him pro-2A. It makes him a well-rehearsed politician playing to the middle while pushing a dangerous agenda.
