President Trump knew something was wrong—and he acted long before the rest of us knew why.
Months before the attempted assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump banned a specific Secret Service agent—Myosoty Perez—from coming anywhere near him. According to multiple Secret Service sources, the former president publicly called out Perez during a Christmas party at Mar-a-Lago, telling the gathered agents:
“As you guys can see, that person is no longer welcome here.”
Trump’s instincts were dead on.
Fast forward to this week: Perez is now one of six agents suspended for the catastrophic failures surrounding the July 13 Butler rally, where a gunman opened fire and came within inches of assassinating Trump.
According to new exclusive reporting from RealClearPolitics’ Susan Crabtree, the slap-on-the-wrist suspensions (ranging from 10 to 42 days of unpaid leave) did not include key supervisors. Two of the officials who **signed off on the final security walkthrough—Nick Menster and Nick Olszewski—**were never disciplined. In fact, they’ve since been promoted.
Even more damning? Senator Chuck Grassley just released a new GAO report that confirms the Secret Service had knowledge of a credible threat to Trump’s life 10 days before the Butler rally—but failed to alert ground staff.
📎 Grassley Drops the Bombshell
“This info never would have been made public without congressional oversight,” Grassley noted.
NEW GAO REPORT IM RELEASING says Secret Service knew of a threat 2Pres Trump’s life 10 DAYS b4 Butler but didnt share info w staff on the ground so they were unprepared Rpt identifies Sct Service problems+ recommends fixes This info NVR wld hv been made public w/o CONG OVERSIGHT pic.twitter.com/hf9t87453a

Let that sink in. Trump had to ban his own security detail to protect himself—because the agency responsible for his safety was ignoring threats, protecting incompetent agents, and promoting those who failed.
The swamp isn’t just deep—it’s deadly.
