With Democrat officials demonizing ICE agents and lying to the American people about the circumstances behind the raid of a California “agricultural business,” the agents involved in the action appear to have been fired on by protestors.
Federal agents descended upon fields near Camarillo, located just east of Los Angeles, and Carpinteria, which is near Santa Barbara, detaining dozens of “farmworkers,” according to various reports. As the incidents were taking place, protesters gathered at Camarilla and began clashing with law enforcement.
Tear gas was deployed to keep the crowd at bay, and at one point, a protester can be seen seemingly firing on the agents, according to footage taken by ABC 7:

Democrats and much of the media are misrepresenting the facts behind the raids, which took place at marijuana farms. Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin reported that agents were acting on a criminal judicial warrant when they were met with violence, and that at least 8 unaccompanied migrant children were recovered, prompting a child labor investigation.
To recap:
– Federal agents conduct massive op at Camarillo marijuana farm.
– Politicians push false narrative food workers & children are being raided.
– Feds disclose they have criminal judicial warrant for harboring aliens.
– Protester appears to shoot gun at agents.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) responded to the concerns of children being exploited for cheap labor by politicizing the raids, sharing a video of kids crying “because their mother was just taken from the fields.”
Kids running from tear gas, crying on the phone because their mother was just taken from the fields.

Newsom also attacked the popular Libs of TikTok social media account as a “sh-t poster” for sharing the video footage of the protester with a gun:
Of course I condemn any assault on law enforcement, you shit poster.
Now do Jan 6. https://t.co/7DBFqGVQS1

Melugin highlighted the “dishonest” narrative being pushed by Democrats, fact-checking a post from U.S. Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-Calif.) suggesting that the farm workers were picking strawberries — Gomez further claimed that President Donald Trump was targeting “immigrant farm workers who feed America.”
Just actively dishonest to keep pushing this narrative when it’s been widely reported since this afternoon that this is a criminal warrant being served at a cannabis farm – not “farm workers who feed America”.
There is no food being grown here. No strawberries either. https://t.co/gebNmRphpG

Glass House, which bills itself as “one of the fastest-growing, vertically integrated cannabis companies in the U.S.,” released a statement acknowledging the raids.
Glass House Farms were visited today by ICE Officials.
The company fully complied with agent search warrants and will provide further updates if necessary.

The violence brought upon the agents was next level, as federal vehicles were attacked while departing the scene:
This is attempted murder.
These are no longer just protesters.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X, including a post from U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott, who confirmed at least “10 juveniles were found at this marijuana facility – all illegal aliens, 8 of them unaccompanied.”
Here’s some breaking news: 10 juveniles were found at this marijuana facility – all illegal aliens, 8 of them unaccompanied. It’s now under investigation for child labor violations.
