Once upon a time, libraries were for fairy tales and real learning. Now they host Philadelphia Palestine Storytime. Kids sit in taxpayer-funded rooms making protest art instead of learning to read. All of it paid for by you. And you thought Drag Queen Storytime was bad.
Keep Your Intifada Out Of Our Libraries
The Philadelphia Palestine Storytime series is not about cultural learning. Philadelphia’s taxpayer-funded libraries have become the new front line for radical activism. Innocent children are being turned into tiny foot soldiers for a political movement they cannot possibly understand. Instead of reading books about sharing or learning their ABCs, they are being nudged to draw slogans and symbols tied to an ancient conflict that has claimed thousands of lives and is nowhere near a playground dispute.
Philadelphia’s public libraries have hosted, and plan to continue hosting, anti-Israel “storytime” events that teach children that Israel “senselessly murdered” thousands of kids in Gaza, depict a map in which Israel is entirely replaced with “Palestine,” and create art projects promoting the “Palestinian liberation” movement.
The Free Library of Philadelphia, which receives both state and federal funding, has scheduled at least six “Palestine Storytime & Crafts” events this summer sponsored by an extremist anti-Israel group called Families for Ceasefire Philly. – Free Beacon
Isn’t that exactly how radicals do it in Gaza, the West Bank, or Tehran? They raise children on martyr posters and protest chants so young they can barely recite the alphabet. Now, it’s here in the United States of America. Philadelphia’s taxpayer-funded libraries have become the new front line for the same playbook.
This is not about teaching kids what Palestine is or sharing a recipe for hummus. This is teaching them that Israel is the villain, that Jews are child killers, and that wiping Israel off the map is the goal. Call it what it is: antisemitic indoctrination dressed up as storytime.
The Lovett Memorial Library hosted a June “Palestinian Storytime” event where children heard the picture book “A Map for Falasteen” read to them. The book states that, in 1948, Israeli soldiers “came with their tanks and guns” and “destroyed our villages and gave them new names.” It also includes a large map that depicts “Falasteen” instead of Israel.

The Queen Memorial Library hosted a “Birds of Gaza” craft project in June 2024 in which organizers directed children to create paper birds decorated with the names of “martyred children of the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza.” – Free Beacon
Is anyone asking who decided our public libraries needed to be political recruitment centers? These libraries exist because taxpayers fund them. They are supposed to serve everyone, not just the latest activist group that shows up with art supplies and an agenda. If they want to hold protest sign workshops, they can do it elsewhere, not in taxpayer-funded buildings with the implicit stamp of community approval.
From Drag Queens to Protest Posters
It was not that long ago that many parents sounded the alarm about Drag Queen Story Hour. They were told they were paranoid and scolded for questioning the motives. They were told there was no agenda. But here we are. It went from men in fishnets reading about pronouns to children being coached to draw protest art for a cause they cannot spell. If you think the slippery slope is a myth, Philadelphia’s libraries are the proof you need.
This reminds me of this event I recently attended for Marjorie Taylor Greene here in my home state. During her speech, MTG shared how she first decided to get involved in politics. It was Drag Queen Story Hour that pushed her to stand up. She told us the story of how it was coming to her area, and she tried to rally the churches and local private schools to speak out. None of them wanted to disrupt anything. They were too afraid of being called intolerant. So they stayed quiet while activists pushed forward. That is exactly how we ended up here.
This was last year in Philadelphia when the library was so proud to have one of the largest Drag Queen storytimes:
HISTORY WAS MADE!!!
Philadelphia hosted the largest Drag Queen Story Hour event targeting kids in honor of pride month!
Just curious: When do they read at the old folks’ home?

Innocence for Sale
These kids will be back next year, a little older, a little more indoctrinated, ready for the next storytime that skips the markers and dives straight into open Jew hatred. They are not even pretending anymore. They are grooming kids to hate, right there in the heart of Philadelphia.
Children’s minds are open. They trust the adults who read them stories and pass out crayons. They believe what they are told. Instead of protecting that innocence, these activists are exploiting it. They know it is easier to raise the next generation of agitators if you get to them before they can even think for themselves. They are indeed coming for your children.
Families for Ceasefire Philly posted excerpts online from its workshop “Talking to Kids About Palestine” in September 2024. The group devoted one section to explaining “tricky concepts in kid language.”
Families for Ceasefire Philly said children should be told that the word “apartheid” means the “[p]eople in charge of Israel made different rules for Palestinians than Israelis. They made it so that Palestinians have different things than Israelis like roads & schools, making it hard for Palestinians to get what they need.”

The group has also taught children anti-Israel slogans—some of which demand the elimination of the Jewish state—at its workshops. During a Valentine’s Day event at which kids made cards for their “friends in Gaza,” one such card included the phrase, “From the River to the Sea,” a popular chant calling for Israel’s destruction. – Free Beacon
It’s Not Cultural Education
This is just history repeating itself, wrapped in a rainbow flag one year and a Palestinian flag the next. They call it cultural education. I call it what it is – child exploitation in a library conference room, funded by you.
Libraries used to be the last place you could trust for genuine community learning. Now they are just another institution hijacked by radical politics. Wondering where it stops? It doesn’t. Once you let activists push gender ideology on toddlers during story hour, it is only a matter of time before they crank out political foot soldiers, too.
The following video is so disturbing. It is from a month ago when these same activist groups, Families for Ceasefire Philadelphia, decided to have a march and bring their children.
Tiny Activists on Parade
It honestly makes me sick. I watched the video of little kids, barely out of diapers, chanting “Free, free Palestine” into microphones and then handing out protest fliers like they even know what any of it means. These people are twisted. If they are not butchering kids’ bodies to feed their gender cult, they are turning them into tiny street activists for a cause soaked in hate. It is child abuse, pure and simple. Same poison, different disguise.
If they can’t get your kids in college, they’ll come for them in grade school, with parents helping it happen. It’s the same thing we see at places like Columbia, where Shipman just lets it slide. Shipman has some explaining to do. Now they’re not waiting for college. They want your kids now.
Parents, taxpayers, and anyone who still cares about real education should stop pretending it is not happening. Check your library’s calendar. Find out exactly what they are slipping into these cultural events. Show up. Make noise. Make them uncomfortable. Demand that libraries stick to age-appropriate books and leave the protest signs for the grown-ups.
Philadelphia Palestine Storytime proves what happens when parents stay silent.
