Stacey Abrams Joins Left’s Descent Into Election Conspiracy Theories [Video]

For years, Democrats have relentlessly smeared Republicans as “election deniers,” but since President Donald Trump’s triumphant reelection in 2024, the left has spiraled into a competition to see who can peddle the most absurd conspiracy theories about Trump and the future of American democracy. Failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is the latest to join this parade of paranoia, spewing wild accusations on Jimmy Kimmel’s show with guest host Anthony Anderson, who sat idly by as she spun her dystopian fantasy about Trump dismantling democracy.

Abrams, whose own history of election denialism is well-documented, launched into a bizarre ten-step theory on how America will descend into autocracy under Trump. Ignoring the irony that her own party has weaponized the media, judiciary, and federal agencies against conservatives, she claimed, “You criticize the media, and you create your own echo chamber of propaganda. You call it truth even though you know you’re lying.” This from a woman who built her career on baseless claims of voter suppression while enjoying fawning media coverage.

She then fearmongered about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives being under attack, stating, “Then you go to the next step… you have to blame someone for the broken government, for the broken promises. So, you go after DEI. You go after the vulnerable, the disposed, you go after any community that didn’t look like what you think power should be.” Never mind that it’s the left that has systematically used race-based policies to divide Americans while silencing dissent.

Abrams then escalated to outright hysteria, alleging, “You get to step nine and you start to encourage and incentivize private violence. You send the U.S. Marines into spaces they should not be. You send the National Guard in. You kidnap people off of the streets and pretend that’s normal, because that’s how you quiet dissent.” These reckless accusations would be laughable if they weren’t so dangerous—especially coming from a figure the media still treats as a serious voice.

Her grand finale? “And once you’ve done those nine steps, step ten is easy. That’s when you decide there won’t be new elections because everyone is either afraid, poor, broken, or complicit.” The sheer absurdity of this claim—that President Trump, who has consistently upheld the Constitution, would cancel elections—shows just how unhinged the left has become.

Meanwhile, President Trump continues to deliver on his promises—securing the border, reviving the economy, and restoring American strength on the world stage.
