L.A. Mayor Karen Bass can’t stop — and won’t stop — showing exactly who she’s working for, and it’s not you.
Bass can’t stand that it’s illegal for foreign nationals to break federal immigration laws. So, rather than focus all her efforts on rebuilding the city that burned down under her watch or doing something about the zombie apocalypse, she decided a better use of her time is to keep staging PR stunts dedicated to illegal immigrants.
Her next move, you ask? Suing the Trump administration for doing exactly what you voted for.
Enough with these kidnapping claims — not only are they completely bogus, but no one’s buying them.
According to Fox News:
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass on Tuesday announced that her city will be joining the class-action lawsuit to stop what she says is “the unconstitutional reckless raids in the LA region.”
Bass said Los Angeles was joining the lawsuit because the Trump administration is treating the city “as a test case for how far it can go in driving its political agenda forward while pushing the Constitution aside.”
The fact that she thinks she can make such a bogus claim while running one of the largest cities in the country is both pathetic and foolish. Everyone — and their grandmothers — knows this has nothing to do with some so-called political agenda and everything to do with enforcing the law.
How many times do the American people have to prove they despise illegal immigration? Clearly, the City of Los Angeles refuses to acknowledge that message, and no American is better off because of it.
“The City of Los Angeles, along with the County, cities, organizations and Angelenos across L.A., is taking the Administration to court to stop its clear violation of the United States Constitution and federal law,” Bass said in a press release. “We will not be intimidated – we are making Los Angeles the example of how people who believe in American values will stand together and stand united.”
So, I just checked the Constitution, the founding documents, and every legal paper in existence — and I still haven’t found the clause, amendment, or loophole that gives people special rights for breaking federal immigration laws. But sure, let her go off.
Los Angeles City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto said the lawsuit is intended to send a message to the Trump administration that the city will not allow the raids to become “standard operating procedure.”
LOL. If this isn’t intended to send a message to the Trump administration, then why isn’t it sending one? ICE raids aren’t some novel phenomenon, and the sooner people realize that, the better off they’ll be. But once again, city officials in Los Angeles have made it clear who they truly care to protect — and once again, it’s not you.
