Jacqui Heinrich of Fox News and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick are engaged.
The right-leaning cable network’s senior White House correspondent and the Pennsylvania congressman’s engagement was announced exclusively by People magazine July 8.
The 51-year-old Republican popped the question in a stunning lavender field in Provence in the South of France. He asked Heinrich, 36, to tie the knot with a ring chosen from her long-running family jeweler in Portland, Maine, according to the magazine.
Heinrich, who does not directly cover Congress in her position reporting on the presidency, is often seen on camera in the White House press briefing room. She told the Boston Globe last year, “I’ve always dreamed of eating my way through the French Riviera and Provence, with sun-drenched days at the lavender fields punctuated by crisp wines and salty butter.”
