Elon Musk has ignited a firestorm within conservative circles by asserting that former Trump advisor Steve Bannon appears in the Jeffrey Epstein files.
This comes as the Trump administration comes under fire for its shocking conclusion to the Epstein sex trafficking saga; a controversy that has amassed backlash from MAGA including big names like Tucker Carlson.
The Tesla CEO made the explosive claim on his social media platform X, targeting the influential political strategist who served as Trump’s campaign director and senior advisor.
The billionaire entrepreneur responded to a post from Roger Stone, another former Trump advisor, who raised questions about Bannon’s alleged connections to the convicted sex offender.
Stone questioned why Bannon would meet with Epstein at multiple locations following the financier’s conviction on sex crimes in Florida.
Stone’s inquiry referenced reports suggesting Bannon helped prepare Epstein for a CBS 60 Minutes interview that ultimately never aired.
The former Trump advisor specifically wondered about meetings that allegedly took place at Epstein’s New York residence and in Paris.
According to journalist Michael Wolff’s book “Too Famous: The Rich, the Powerful, the Wishful, the Notorious, the Damned,” Bannon allegedly coached Epstein during a 2019 session.
The reported coaching included advice on appearing non-threatening and sympathetic.
During the alleged coaching session, Bannon purportedly told Epstein: “You’re engaging, you’re not threatening, you’re natural, you’re friendly, you don’t look at all creepy, you’re a sympathetic figure.”
These details emerged from Wolff’s investigation into Epstein’s final years.
Bannon previously denied media training Epstein when questioned by the New York Times.
He claimed the meeting was actually part of a documentary project designed to expose Epstein’s crimes against young women.
The current accusation represents the latest escalation in an ongoing feud between Musk and various Trump allies.
Tucker Carlson accused the government of orchestrating a deliberate cover-up regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s files to protect American and Israeli intelligence services.
The former Fox News host spearheaded criticism from conservative circles following the Trump administration’s failure to fulfill campaign promises about releasing Epstein-related documents.
The controversy intensified after Attorney General Pam Bondi declared this week that no evidence exists to support claims that Epstein was murdered or maintained a comprehensive client list.
Bondi’s statements marked a significant departure from previous administration rhetoric about forthcoming revelations.
Carlson stated it was “obvious” that Bondi was “covering up crimes” during his podcast.
His comments reflected growing frustration among Trump supporters who anticipated significant disclosures about the disgraced financier’s connections to powerful figures.
The administration’s abrupt reversal on Epstein file releases has created a rift between Trump and segments of his conservative base.
Carlson dismissed speculation that Trump’s reluctance to release the files stemmed from personal involvement with Epstein.
“I don’t think he’s that guy, actually,” Carlson said regarding Trump. “I don’t think he likes creepy sex stuff.”
Instead, Carlson proposed a more complex explanation involving intelligence agencies.
He suggested that American and Israeli intelligence services occupy central roles in the Epstein affair and require protection from exposure.
“The only other explanation that I can think of… is that intel services are at the very center of this story, U.S. and Israeli, and they’re being protected,” Carlson explained.
“I think that seems like the most obvious.”
Sagaar Enjeti, host of Breaking Points and Carlson’s guest, supported the intelligence agency theory.
He referenced 2021 reports indicating federal prosecutors declined to pursue pedophilia cases within the CIA to avoid revealing operational methods.
“There have been multiple documented cases of pedophilia inside of the CIA perpetrated by CIA officers,” Enjeti stated.
He cited a BuzzFeed News investigation revealing the CIA’s preference for internal handling over federal prosecution to protect classified information.
Enjeti noted that CIA personnel faced prosecution for child pornography charges only when already facing separate classified information violations.
The agency reportedly made other cases disappear to prevent courtroom revelations about sources and methods.
The Breaking Points host emphasized that federal prosecutors consistently prioritized intelligence security over criminal justice in cases involving agency personnel.
This approach has created a two-tiered justice system where CIA officers receive different treatment than ordinary citizens facing similar charges.
Carlson responded with humor to the discussion about planted evidence, joking: “Well, when they want to crush you, they put kiddie porn on your computer. It’s why I don’t have a computer!”
The Epstein file controversy prompted a tense exchange between Trump and reporters during a Cabinet meeting Tuesday, Resist the Mainstream reported.
When questioned about Bondi’s statements regarding the Justice Department’s internal review, Trump expressed frustration with continued media focus on the issue.
“Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?” Trump asked reporters during his six-month Cabinet meeting. “This guy’s been talked about for years.”
Trump criticized the reporter’s timing, arguing that media attention should focus on the Texas flooding tragedy and ongoing international conflicts rather than Epstein-related matters.
He characterized continued questions about the deceased financier as inappropriate given current events. The president’s frustration appeared to stem from his desire to control the news cycle and direct attention toward his administration’s achievements.
