New Superman Proves That Wokeism Is Worse Than Kryptonite

Hollywood continues to be clueless about the meaning of entertainment, which is ironic since that’s supposed to be their business. The left has changed both movies and television for the worse, ignoring what people want, and instead infiltrating films and programming with messages pushing their woke agenda.

They are so possessed by this sick obsession that even when it’s evident that the phrase “Go Woke, Go Broke” is a truism, they still won’t renege and alter their course. Disney has ruined classic movies, lost millions doing so, and still has not learned that movies are for entertainment, not indoctrination.

It is now James Gunn’s turn to ruin a classic. The new Superman movie, written and directed by Gunn, has received early reviews suggesting it incorporates propaganda alongside the emblematic cartoon character from the past. Instead of merely embracing the iconic, quintessentially American character, they have adopted a woke, pro-immigrant political stance, and when questioned about it, they continue to double down.

Gunn states that Superman represents an ‘immigrant who came from other places’ and highlights how we have ‘lost’ the value of ‘basic human kindness.’ He notes, ‘Yes, it’s about politics.’

On Sunday, in an interview with The Times of London, Gunn elaborated on his carefully woven agenda, which is integrated into aspects of the Superman story. Things that should be nothing more than background information, Gunn brings to the forefront to indoctrinate, rather than entertain.

“I mean, ‘Superman’ is the story of America,” Gunn explained. “An immigrant who came from other places and populated the country, but for me it is mostly a story that says basic human kindness is a value and is something we have lost.”

Sean Gunn, the director’s brother, who acts in the film, proved that delusional messaging hadn’t escaped him by saying, “If you don’t embrace this point of view, you’re not an American.”

The movie is scheduled for release this Friday, July 11^th. The producers of the movie asked that reviews of the film not be released until today, Tuesday the 8^th. Why do you think that is? If the reviews were going to be overwhelmingly positive, would you care how early they started? If the reviews were positive, you would want them to start as early as possible to add to the hype.

According to Breitbart News, the reviews for the film are not good. Several outlets disregarded the demand and posted their reviews early, and some of these reviews were highly critical of the film.

The popular website The Daily Beast released a harsh article titled, “The Terrible New ‘Superman’ Movie Is the Final Nail in the Grave for the Superhero Genre,” but took it down shortly after publication. The Beast’s review, by writer Nick Schager, tears the film apart, calling it “superficial,” “overstuffed,” and even “silly.”

What is telling about this is that I believe Gunn knows what he has created, and he knows that this is not the Superman movie the American public wants. He is hellbent on delivering his message, and if the American people don’t like it, too bad.

I say we deliver our own message to Gunn and avoid this leftist piece of propaganda at all costs. The Superman in this movie does not represent an American icon who represents American exceptionalism. Instead, Gunn has proven that radical woke liberalism is even worse than kryptonite.
