President Trump secured a major legislative victory with his comprehensive immigration and tax reform package, but conservative activist Charlie Kirk warns that establishment Republicans launched an immediate campaign to undermine the achievement through backdoor amnesty negotiations.
Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, disclosed during his recent broadcast that powerful Washington insiders contacted him within hours of the bill’s passage, demanding mass legalization of illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States.
The legislation, dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” delivered significant conservative priorities including the elimination of taxes on tips, overtime pay and Social Security benefits for American workers.
The measure allocated an unprecedented $175 billion in funding specifically for Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations and border security infrastructure improvements, per reports.
Kirk expressed optimism about the border enforcement funding initially, expecting the massive investment would enable comprehensive deportation operations across the country.
The conservative activist viewed the substantial ICE funding as a clear signal that the Trump administration remained committed to enforcing immigration laws and removing illegal immigrants from American communities.
Kirk, however, revealed that establishment figures approached him with a different agenda immediately following the bill’s passage through Congress.
These conversations caught Kirk completely off guard, as he had anticipated celebration of the conservative victories embedded within the comprehensive legislation.
“Literally, the day before President Donald Trump was signing the big, beautiful bill, I got a couple phone calls from people that you would call members of the ruling class,” Kirk stated during his broadcast.
These influential Washington contacts apparently praised the legislation’s passage before pivoting to their primary objective of securing amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.
Kirk described these individuals as possessing significant financial resources and extensive political connections throughout the nation’s capital.
The conservative activist found the timing of these amnesty requests particularly disturbing, given the celebration surrounding the passage of legislation that allocated historic funding for immigration enforcement.
Kirk noted that these establishment figures seemed to view the border security funding as merely a stepping stone toward their ultimate goal of legalizing undocumented immigrants.
“A lot of money and a lot of connections. They said, ‘Charlie, isn’t this amazing? We passed the big, beautiful bill.’ I said, ‘Oh yes, sir.’ And they said, ‘Now we need mass amnesty,’” Kirk recounted.
The conservative activist expressed surprise at the timing of these requests, noting that the legislation had not yet received the president’s signature.
Kirk’s contacts argued that deportation operations would damage Republican electoral prospects in upcoming midterm elections, necessitating a more moderate approach.
The establishment figures are said to have suggested that conservative voters would ultimately accept amnesty measures if presented alongside border security enhancements.
They emphasized the importance of appealing to moderate voters who might be troubled by large-scale deportation operations.
“What? I said, we haven’t even signed the bill yet. They said, ‘Yeah, you know, these deportations, we’re going to lose the midterms because of the deportations. The people on the right, they’ll understand, and we need to come to the middle and we need to legalize the 25 million people here in this country,’” Kirk reported.
The Turning Point USA founder described himself as “speechless” following these conversations and warned his audience about the scope of the amnesty push.
Kirk emphasized that these discussions occurred with multiple individuals, suggesting a coordinated effort rather than isolated conversations.
The conservative activist expressed concern that the establishment’s amnesty agenda could undermine the immigration enforcement victories achieved through the comprehensive legislation.
Kirk characterized the amnesty effort as more significant than previous Washington scandals, emphasizing the immediate threat to conservative immigration priorities.
The conservative commentator suggested that the amnesty push represented a fundamental challenge to the Trump administration’s immigration agenda and the expectations of conservative voters who supported the president’s hardline stance on illegal immigration.
“There is a movement afoot as I am doing this broadcast, and this is bigger than anything with Epstein. This is bigger than anything with tax cuts. It is happening right now in Washington D.C.,” Kirk declared.
Kirk stated that he possessed firsthand knowledge of ongoing pressure campaigns targeting President Trump regarding amnesty legislation.
“And I can say this from firsthand experience, that people are pushing President Trump for amnesty,” Kirk emphasized during his broadcast.
Kirk expressed confidence that Trump personally opposes amnesty measures but pointed to concerning rhetoric from a recent Iowa campaign rally.
The conservative activist acknowledged Trump’s consistent opposition to amnesty throughout his political career while expressing worry about potential pressure from establishment Republicans and business interests seeking cheap labor solutions.
The president addressed potential compromises regarding illegal immigrants who have established long-term residence in the United States during his July 3 rally appearance.
Trump’s comments focused specifically on agricultural workers and hospitality industry employees who have maintained employment for extended periods despite their illegal status in the country.
“President Donald Trump was talking about potentially doing a bipartisan compromise deal for illegals that have stolen Social Security numbers, that are illegally domiciling themselves here in the country, that are all felons,” Kirk observed.
Kirk noted that all illegal immigrants technically qualify as felons under current federal law, regardless of their employment history or community ties.
The conservative commentator emphasized that illegal entry into the United States constitutes a federal crime, making any discussion of leniency toward undocumented immigrants problematic from a law enforcement perspective.
“Every single one of them are felons. They’re just not yet indicted felons,” Kirk emphasized regarding the legal status of undocumented immigrants.
The conservative commentator suggested that Trump’s Iowa comments indicated consideration of more lenient policies toward certain categories of illegal immigrants.
“He didn’t use the word amnesty, but some form of soft amnesty,” Kirk characterized Trump’s remarks at the Iowa rally.
Kirk claimed that additional reporting and private conversations confirmed the existence of a coordinated bipartisan amnesty initiative currently underway in Washington.
“And I could tell you now through other reporting that I’ve been able to do and phone calls, there is a major push right now to do a bipartisan amnesty deal,” Kirk stated.
