Thirteen shot in mass shooting; three dead

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A deadly mass shooting rocked South Philadelphia overnight, leaving 13 people injured and three dead. This incident marks the second mass shooting in the city within two days.

The violence erupted along South King Street in the Grays Ferry neighborhood just before 1 a.m. Police arrived to find eight individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. In total, 13 people were hit, including two juveniles, with some victims admitting themselves to nearby hospitals. Authorities have not yet released the identities or ages of the deceased.

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel revealed that officers had responded to this location the previous night, resulting in several arrests. He described the subsequent shooting as a chaotic scene involving multiple shooters targeting a crowd that included children.
