Video: Vigilantes Serve Instant Justice After Thug Attacks Woman on NYC Subway Platform—Violence Gets Stopped Cold

Chaos erupted on a New York City subway platform this week when a thug picked the wrong victim—and got served a brutal dose of street justice.

The incident took place around 9 a.m. Sunday morning on the Manhattan-bound J train platform at Norwood Avenue in Cypress Hills. According to the New York Post, 42-year-old Franklin Marshall of Queens allegedly followed a 20-year-old woman onto the platform and began harassing her.

That harassment quickly turned into a violent assault. Viral footage captured by a bystander shows the massive Marshall grabbing the young woman as she desperately tried to get away. Her screams for help echoed across the platform—and fortunately, they didn’t fall on deaf ears.

Within seconds, a group of everyday heroes jumped into action.

As the woman tried to flee, Marshall tackled her to the ground. That was the final straw for several nearby men who had been shouting at him to back off. The video shows the group charging at the attacker, knocking him away from the woman and delivering a flurry of punches.

One vigilante could be heard yelling, “I’m gonna fk you up!” while another shouted, “Somebody try to tell you something, chill the fk out? Now you got it!”

Thanks to the intervention, the woman was able to escape. She suffered minor injuries to her stomach, arms, and shoulder, but avoided what could have easily turned into a far more horrific situation.

Marshall wasn’t so lucky. NYPD officers arrived shortly after and arrested him on the spot. They also discovered he was carrying a knife and a blackjack—raising serious questions about his intentions.

In a city where crime often goes unpunished, this viral moment reminds us that sometimes, the people are willing to step in when the system lags behind.
