President Trump surprised supporters during a speech in Iowa earlier this week, as he declared that legislation is being crafted to grant an essential amnesty to illegal aliens who have found work in the agriculture and hospitality industries.
Trump credited Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins for the move, noting “You’re the one that brought this whole situation up.”
“You had cases where, not here, but just even over the years, where people have worked for a farm, on a farm, for 14, 15 years, and they get thrown out pretty viciously, and we can’t do it,” Trump asserted.
BREAKING: President Trump announces he is working on legislation to protect long-time farm and hospitality workers who get “thrown out viciously,” presumably referring to immigration raids.

“We’ve got to work with the farmers and people that have hotels and leisure properties too,” he added.
“We’re going to work with them, and we’re going to work very strong and smart, and we’re going to put you in charge,” Trump contiuned, again addressing Rollins.
He added, “We’re going to make you responsible. And I think that that’s going to make a lot of people happy,”
Trump even suggested that anyone who had questions over this apparent amnesty for illegals on farms or in hotels is likely a right wing “radical.”
“Now, serious, radical right People, who I also happen to like a lot, they may not be quite as happy, but they’ll understand. Wont they? Do you think so?” Trump somewhat bizarrely stated.
“Madam Secretary, look at you with a white hat on. Do you think they’ll understand that? You’re the one that brought this whole situation up,” Trump further probed.
It’s an odd one and has many concerned, primarily because it’s against the law for anyone to knowingly hire an illegal alien.
Respondents argued that this will just encourage continued law breaking and comes across as disconnected.
A betrayal to the farmers and ranchers who do it the right way. Most of the small guys do—it’s the big guys who break the law! That’s who Brooke works for, the big guys!

Mass deportations meant everyone Mr. President. No carveouts, no amnesty, only total expulsion. They violated the law, and companies who hired them knowing this should be fined and face legal repercussions.

Deport every illegal. Every last one. Until that happens we can’t possibly even have a conversation about methods of alleviating a labor shortage.
But one thing is for certain, the method we use won’t be turning a blind eye to illegal immigrant labor.

Others noted that working on a farm doesn’t somehow make violent criminals good people.

Has Trump been listening to Joe Rogan on this issue?
How many foreigners are we supposed to allow into the country if they can swing a hammer?
A million? 5 million? 20 million? 200 million? A billion?
We either have immigration laws or we don’t. wtf does it matter if they found a roofing gig? https://t.co/fboPaXSZuu

Certainly it isn’t the view of the majority of Americans who want all illegal immigrants deported.
