New data from a private company shows that at least 21 states have reported a COVID-19 version that spread across China earlier this year.
As of Thursday afternoon, the Global Initiative on Sharing All Influenza Data (GISAID) produced a map showing that 21 states in the US are reporting the COVID-19 variant NB.1.8.1.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s most recent estimate says that the NB.1.8.1 variant currently accounts up 43 percent of COVID-19 cases in the United States between June 8 and June 21. This means that it is now the most common strain.
The CDC also claims that COVID-19 levels are “currently very low” all over the United States.
Chinese health officials claimed in June that the NB.1.8.1 was causing a wave of infections across the country outside of the US. Last month, Chinese doctors at Peking University said that COVID-19 cases would peak in July and that it would become the next dominant global strain. Symptoms include a stinging sore throat, fever, runny nose, vomiting, and diarrhea.
The Chinese Communist Party has a history of hiding facts and disseminating false information, such as COVID-19 infection and mortality rates. Local doctors and health workers might give more information regarding the situation in China.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has put NB.1.8.1 on its list of “variants under monitoring” and says that the risk to public health around the world is low. It is thought that the vaccines we have now will still work.
In the past, the WHO noted that several countries in the western Pacific have seen more COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. However, there is no evidence so far that the new variety is more severe than existing versions.
Media sources, including those from India, the UK, China, and The Associated Press, have called NB.1.8.1 the “razor throat” or “razor blade throat” form. In May, The Epoch Times spoke with many Chinese doctors who said that their patients had reported the ailment.
In a study released in late June, the WHO said that the XFG strain is now a “variant under monitoring.” XFG is thought to account for about 14% of instances in the US, however GISAID is not keeping track of the variant yet.
A recent poll conducted on June 30 showed that 70% of Americans would still try to test themselves for COVID-19 if they thought they had it, which is another reason the variant is spreading. The survey was done in 2024, but it came out earlier this week.
If this claim is real, then you should address the symptoms right away and stay away from KILL SHOTS COVID procedures (vaccines).
